Disposable interconnected pump cassettes having first and second pump chambers with valved inlet and outlet connections
A system and method for pumping fluid using a set of interconnected pump cassettes is disclosed. Each of the pump cassettes can receive a first solution in a first pumping chamber and each of the pump cassettes can receive separate second solutions in respective second pumping chambers, so that the first solution can be mixed with the separate second solutions, each said mixture capable of being placed in separate containers. The system includes a control assembly for operating each pump cassette, each pump cassette having a flexible membrane to pump fluid into and out of the pumping chambers, and each pump cassette configured for mating with a base unit that provides positive or negative pneumatic pressure to the flexible membrane.
BLOOD BAG SYSTEM AND CLAMP
A blood bag system includes one clamp. The clamp includes a base formed with an insertion hole through which a second tube and a third tube are inserted. A first slit for pressing the outer circumferential surface of the second tube inward such that a second flow channel is closed, and a second slit for pressing the outer circumferential surface of the third tube inward such that a third flow channel is closed, are provided in a wall section forming the insertion hole.
Integrated leukocyte, oxygen and/or CO2 depletion, and plasma separation filter device
A blood filter device comprising: a housing comprising an outer wall and a first inlet, a first outlet and a second outlet; a membrane which is capable of separating plasma from the blood, wherein the membrane forms an inner chamber; a leukocyte and oxygen and/or carbon dioxide depletion media disposed wherein the inner chamber, the leukocyte and oxygen and/or carbon dioxide depletion media is capable of depleting leukocytes and oxygen and/or carbon dioxide from the blood; an outer chamber disposed between the outer wall and the membrane, wherein the plasma which permeates through the membrane enters the outer chamber and exits the filter device via the first outlet; whereby the blood which has been depleted of oxygen and/or carbon dioxide, leukocytes and plasma exists and filter device via the second outlet.
System for Sealing a Pump Cassette Against a Cassette Control Assembly
System for sealing a pump cassette against a cassette control assembly
A system and method for pumping fluid using a pump cassette is disclosed. The system includes a control assembly for operating the pump cassette. A force assembly having a movable member is capable of applying force to the pump cassette to press the pump cassette against the control assembly. The movable member may be an expandable member, such as a bladder.
Disposable Fluid Circuits for Extracorporeal Photopheresis with Integrated Source of Photoactive Agent
Disposable fluid circuits, systems utilizing disposable fluid circuits and methods for combining a treating agent with separated blood component are disclosed. The treating agent is contained within a container and the disposable fluid circuit includes one or more frangible cannulas located in one or more flow paths of the circuit that are selectively opened to establish flow communication between the treating agent container and a treatment container, and/or a separation chamber or other container.
