SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVAL OF BLOOD AND THROMBOTIC MATERIAL
An extension conduit for use with a system for aspirating thrombus includes a passageway extending between a distal end and a proximal end of the extension conduit, and a combined hydraulic and electrical control carried on the extension conduit and configured to be activated by a user to activate an electric switch while opening a valve to allow flow through the passageway.
NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY (NPWT) BANDAGE
A negative pressure wound therapy bandage for applying negative pressure to a wound, the bandage comprising: a membrane configured for disposition over a wound so as to form a wound chamber between the membrane and the wound, the membrane comprising a wound-side surface, an atmosphere-side surface, and an opening extending through the membrane from the wound-side surface to the atmosphere-side surface; and a pump assembly carried by the membrane, the pump assembly comprising: a pump body comprising a wall structure disposed about a pump chamber, wherein at least a portion of the wall structure is resilient, and further wherein the pump chamber communicates with the wound chamber through the opening formed in the membrane; and an atmosphere-side passageway extending through the wall structure so as to fluidically connect the pump chamber to the atmosphere.
THROMBUS ASPIRATION SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING BLOOD LOSS
Aspiration systems and methods for controlling blood loss during thrombus removal are disclosed herein. The systems include an aspiration catheter, an aspiration tubing, a receptacle for collecting aspirated blood, a vacuum line coupled to the receptacle, and a sensor configured to measure a flow parameter associated with a liquid within an aspiration lumen. The systems further include a regulator configured to adjust a vacuum pressure within the vacuum line, and a vacuum controller operably coupled to the sensor and the regulator. The vacuum controller is configured to receive the flow parameter from the sensor, compare the flow parameter to a target range for the flow parameter, and send an automatic control signal to the regulator based on a comparison of the flow parameter to the target range. The automatic control signal causes the regulator to adjust the vacuum pressure within the vacuum line.

ASPIRATION THROMBECTOMY SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR THROMBUS REMOVAL WITH ASPIRATION CATHETER
A method of operating an aspiration catheter having a proximal end and a distal end includes the acts of at least partially blocking the distal end of the aspiration catheter with an embolus, creating a vacuum at the distal end of the aspiration catheter with a vacuum source adjacent the proximal end of the aspiration catheter, at least partially relieving the vacuum at the distal end of the catheter by at least one of interrupting the vacuum from the vacuum source and venting the aspiration catheter with a vent fluid adjacent the proximal end, and repeating the acts of interrupting the vacuum and venting the aspiration catheter in a timing cycle that maximizes the time that the aspiration catheter is at vacuum and changes pressure at the distal end of the catheter from vacuum to at least atmospheric pressure during each cycle.
Clip
A clip for holding one or more buttons of a medical device in a pre-use state. The clip includes an elongate band for wrapping around the medical device. A receiving portion formed in the elongate band that is configured to receive at least one button when the band is wrapped around the medical device and a retaining means for retaining the band around the medical device.
Aspiration device with vacuum limiter
Systems, devices, and methods include a hand-held instrument with an aspiration conduit extending therethrough and with an aspiration needle arranged to aspirate fluid from a surgical site. A vacuum limiter is associated with the aspiration conduit. The vacuum limiter includes an opening formed in a wall of the aspiration conduit, an actuator disposed in the opening, and a biasing element biasing the actuator to a closed position that prevents passage of fluid through the opening. The biasing element is arranged to permit the actuator to displace from the closed position to a relief position so that fluid passes through the opening when a threshold vacuum is reached within the lumen. The actuator can further displace to an override position that prevents passage of fluid through the opening.
CLOSED SUCTION CATHETER
Disclosed is a closed suction catheter for removing respiratory secretions secreted from a patient's airway, the closed suction catheter including: a tube (10) covered with a flexible outer skin (20); a suction controller (30); and a connection adaptor (40), wherein the suction controller (30) includes a main body (31) being connected to the flexible outer skin (20) by a coupling ring (32) and including: two tube holes (311 and 312) formed in the main body (31); a longitudinal groove (313) formed between the tube holes (311 and 312), with a roller (33) installed in the groove (313); a guide portion (315) formed on a side wall (314) of the groove (313); and a bottom surface (316) inclindly formed at the main body (31) with the tube (10) placed on the bottom surface (316), such that an opening ratio of the tube (10) is controlled by movement of the roller (33).
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DRAINAGE, INFUSION, OR INSTILLATION OF FLUIDS
Valve devices are provided for draining fluids from and/or infusing fluids into a patient's body that include a housing including first, second, and third connectors, a primary fluid path communicating between the first and second connectors, and a secondary fluid path communicating from the primary fluid path to the third connector. First and second valve members are movable within the housing between first positions wherein the valve members do not obstruct the primary fluid path and second positions wherein the primary fluid path is at least partially closed. The third connector may be configured to prevent fluid flow therethrough unless a mating connector is fully coupled thereto. The valve members may be selectively closed to isolate portions of the flow path to allow a source of vacuum or fluid coupled to the third connector to aspirate or infuse fluid along portions of the primary fluid path.
