Valved spacer for inhalation device
An aerosol inhalation spacer for use with a metered-dose inhaler canister is disclosed. The spacer includes a transparent chamber housing having a body with an input end and an output end and defining an interior space. A mouthpiece is connected to the output end of the chamber housing. An inhaler adapter is connected to the input end of the chamber housing. A valve member is disposed between the mouthpiece and the output end of the chamber housing, the valve member includes a one-way inhalation valve and a one-way exhalation valve. A flow indicator is connected to the inhaler adapter and extends into the interior space of the chamber housing for indicating an inhalation flow rate to the user.
NEBULIZER APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus and method for providing a nebula or aerosol to a patient is described. In one aspect, the nebulizer is composed of a minimum number of parts to reduce complexity for automated or human assembly. The nebulizer may include an inhalation valve, exhalation valve and biasing member integrated into a single diaphragm structure that may be connected with an actuator and inserted into a housing for controlling nebulization of a medicine to a patient in response to the patient's breathing or in a continuous nebulization mode.
PACIFIER
A pacifier comprising a suction part and a housing part, wherein said suction part comprises a nipple and a shield connected to each other, wherein said suction part comprises a passageway through which a fluid can pass from outside a mouth of a user of the pacifier to inside the mouth of the user of the pacifier, and wherein said housing part comprises a housing, wherein said housing is prefilled with a drug which can pass through the passageway into the mouth of the user when the housing part is connected to said suction part and wherein said drug is a drug to be inhaled through the passageway of the suction part.
AEROSOLIZATION SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUSES
Systems, methods and apparatuses for aerosolizing all or substantially all plant matter, medications, flavors, smells, liquid and/or other material to be aerosolizing are disclosed. Embodiments of the invention comprise an aerosolization chamber sealed except for two or more conduits, a first conduit coupled to a source of fully or almost fully oxygenated gas, a heating element capable of heating the aerosolization chamber to a temperature above a combustion temperature, a second conduit configured to transport aerosolized gases and elements out of the chamber and, in one implementation, at least one valve positioned in the second conduit preventing the flow of atmospheric air into the vaporization chamber. In some instances, the first gas substantially clears the vaporization chamber of atmospheric air prior to reaching combustion temperature. A second gas containing oxygen may be intermixed with the vaporization gases and vaporized elements proximal to the combustion chamber.
DRY POWDER FORMULATIONS OF EPINEPHRINE AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Provided herein are dry powder formulations comprising epinephrine alone or in combination with at least one enabling agent suitable for nasal application. Also provided are unit dose forms and devices comprising such formulations and methods of using such formulations for the treatment of various conditions including anaphylaxis, anaphylactoid reaction, respiratory conditions, hemodynamic collapse, and for administration during cardiopulmonary arrest and other life-threatening conditions.
DEVICES FOR STORAGE AND DELIVERY OF NONPATHOGENIC MICROORGANISMS
Nonpathogenic microorganism preparations for delivery to the intranasal system, kits including nonpathogenic microorganism preparations for delivery to the intranasal system, and devices for administering nonpathogenic microorganism preparations to the intranasal system are provided. Vehicles for intranasal delivery of nonpathogenic microorganisms are provided. Ammonia oxidizing microorganism preparations for delivery to the intranasal system, kits including ammonia oxidizing preparations for delivery to the intranasal system, and devices for administering ammonia oxidizing preparations to the intranasal system are provided. Vehicles for intranasal delivery of ammonia oxidizing microorganisms are provided.
FOAM INHALATION DEVICE AND CARTRIDGE
A foam inhalation device (874) for dispensing a foam to be inhaled by a user. The inhalation device (874) comprises a foam-generating component for generating the foam, an outlet (882) for dispensing the foam to the user, and a fluid flow path which fluidly communicates the foam-generating component with the outlet (882). The foam is generatable by the foam-generating component and flows to the outlet (882) via the fluid flow path to be inhaled by the user.
Aerosol provision system having a base for supporting one or more receptacles
An aerosol provision system includes one or more receptacles each forming a respective central space, a base adapted to support the or each receptacle, the or each receptacle being removable from the base and at least a first airflow generator, operable to draw air through at least a first aerosol generator, wherein the base includes one or more outlets through which, in operation, aerosolized payload is directed to flow from the base into the central space of a respective receptacle and the or each receptacle comprises a first opening through which the user can inhale the aerosolized payload.
METHOD FOR THE TREATMENT OF VIRAL INFECTIONS
The present invention provides for a method for the treatment of a respiratory disease, disorder, or condition resulting from a viral infection in a subject, such as a pulmonary viral infection, the method comprising the step of administering to said subject a medically active liquid in nebulized form by inhalation, wherein the medically active liquid comprises an inhalable corticosteroid (ICS) and wherein the medically active liquid is administered in nebulized form using an inhalation device.
