A valve member is disposed between the mouthpiece and the output end of the chamber housing, the valve member includes a one-way inhalation valve and a one-way exhalation valve. A flow indicator is connected to the inhaler adapter and extends into the interior space of the chamber housing for indicating an inhalation flow rate to the user.
Aerosol generator
An aerosol generator for generating an aerosol from a fluid, comprising: a vibratable membrane having a first side for being in contact with the fluid and an opposite second side, the membrane having a plurality of through holes penetrating the membrane in an extension direction from the first side to the second side, whereby the fluid passes the through holes from the first side to the second side when the membrane is vibrated for generating the aerosol at the second side, each through hole having along its extension direction a smallest diameter, a larger diameter that is larger than the smallest diameter and defined by that diameter that is closest to triple, preferably twice said smallest diameter, each through hole having a nozzle portion defined by that continuous portion of the through hole in the extension direction comprising the smallest diameter of the through hole and bordered by the larger diameter of the through hole, wherein the ratio of the total length of each through hole in the extension direction to the length of a respective one of said nozzle portions in the extension direction is at least 4, preferably at least 4.5 and most preferred equal to or larger than 5.
NEBULIZER APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus and method for providing a nebula or aerosol to a patient is described. In one aspect, the nebulizer is composed of a minimum number of parts to reduce complexity for automated or human assembly. The nebulizer may include an inhalation valve, exhalation valve and biasing member integrated into a single diaphragm structure that may be connected with an actuator and inserted into a housing for controlling nebulization of a medicine to a patient in response to the patient's breathing or in a continuous nebulization mode.
NEBULIZER SYSTEM
The present invention is a nebulizer, aerosol, filter or inhalant handheld system. The device is composed of a non-invasive respiratory circuit with a medication reservoir that has an inlet that is configured to be connected to a gas source. In some embodiments, they include of one or more valves located downstream of the medication reservoir. Some embodiments include one or more filters, such as a bacterial viral filter located on the end of the exhalation port. The valve functions to prevent backflow of exhaled air and/or potential pathogens into the atmosphere. The filter functions to significantly reduce the dispersion of aerosols exhaled into the atmosphere and prevent further spread of potential pathogens. Some embodiment may include one or more pivotable elements allowing some portions of the nebulizer to pivot relative to other members.
ONE-WAY RESPIRATORY VALVE AND ANIMAL ASSISTIVE DRUG DELIVERY RESPIRATOR PROVIDED WITH ONE-WAY RESPIRATORY VALVE
A one-way respiratory valve includes a valve body. The valve body is hollow, opposite ends of the valve body are open, a partition plate is provided at one of the opposite ends, and an inhalation hole is formed at the other one of the opposite ends; an exhalation hole is formed on a side wall of the valve body, a second unidirectional guide member is provided at the exhalation hole of the valve body, and the second unidirectional guide member is unidirectionally accessible from an inside of the valve body to an outside of the valve body; and a middle part of the partition plate protrudes towards the inhalation hole to form a first protrusion, a first unidirectional guide member is provided on the first protrusion, and the first unidirectional guide member is unidirectionally accessible from the outside of the valve body to the inside of the valve body.
Inhaler device for inhalable liquids
The present invention provides a new inhaler device for the administration of inhalable liquids to a patient offering one or more advantages or improvements over known inhalers, particularly inhalers for the delivery of halogenated volatile liquids such as methoxyflurane for use as an analgesic.
Control device for aerosol nebulizer system
The present invention relates to a control device for controlling an operation of an aerosol nebulizer system (30), said aerosol nebulizer system (30) comprising an aerosol generator (31) for nebulizing a liquid and a plurality of sensor units (38a, 38b, 38c, 38d, 38e), said control device (20) comprising: a communication unit (21), configured to establish a wireless communication connection and to perform data transmission with the aerosol nebulizer system (30), a sensor data control unit (22), configured to trigger a selection of sensor data related to the sensor units (38a, 38b, 38c, 38d, 38e) to be wirelessly transmitted to the control device (20).
Flow measuring apparatus and inhalation apparatus comprising the same
The present document describes a flow measuring apparatus for measuring a flow through a section of an inhalation apparatus, comprising at least one set of Pitot tubes first a second Pitot tube and streamlinings extending longitudinally parallel to the Pitot tubes and the set of Pitot tubes is configured for traversing entirely a lumen which define the section of the inhalation apparatus and are respectively fluidly connected to a differential pressure sensor for measuring a difference between a stagnation pressure and a static pressure within the flow measuring apparatus.
Nasal mask with aromatic dispenser
A mask includes a body having an interior surface defining a cavity shaped to receive a user's nose. An exterior surface of the body is exposed to an ambient environment. The body includes an inlet in fluid communication with the cavity and a one-way exhaust valve in fluid communication between the cavity and the ambient environment. A therapeutic substance dispenser is in fluid communication with the cavity. In one embodiment, a nasal aromatic decongestant is disposed in the therapeutic dispenser.
