An autoinjector includes a housing, a product container, a torsion spring, a drive element, and a propulsion element. In order to discharge liquid out of the product container, the torsion spring rotates the drive element, and the rotating drive element produces a propulsive movement of the propulsion element and of a piston in the product container. A rotation sensor is configured for an alternating continuous detection of at least two rotational positions per revolution of the drive element during the discharge process, and a processor unit is configured for determining the axial position of the piston in the product container from the detected rotational positions.

Syringe system and usage method of the same

A syringe system includes a syringe and a pressurization device for a syringe. The pressurization device for a syringe is configured so that the plunger advances by a forward rotation of the plunger, and the plunger retracts by a reverse rotation of the plunger. The plunger is advanceable by pressing the gasket at the time of the forward rotation and is retractable with respect to the barrel without pulling the gasket in the proximal end direction at the time of the reverse rotation.

This disclosure relates to pre-filled syringes and their methods for use and injection. The embodiments provide a pre-filled syringe system for controlled depth of injection in a subject, including a pre-filled syringe having a needle tip and a plunger for injecting the contents of the pre-filled syringe; a housing for holding the pre-filled syringe and needle tip in a defined position for a depth of injection; and a needle shield mounted on the housing for releasable movement from a locked injection position to a shield position, wherein after the needle shield is moved into the locked injection position with the needle tip extended out of the needle shield and pre-filled syringe system, the needle can be inserted into the subject at a defined depth of injection. Described is an autoinjector comprising a front case having a first rib and a second rib, and a rear case telescopically coupled to the front case and having latch arms adapted to engage the first rib and the second rib. When the front case is in a first position relative to rear case, the latch arms are engaged to the first rib. When the latch arms disengage the first rib, the front case translates to a second position relative to the rear case, an axial distance between the front case and the rear case increases relative to the first position, the latch arms engage the second rib.

The present disclosure refers to a housing element for a drug delivery device. The housing element comprises longitudinal axis and defines an interior space for receiving components of a drive mechanism of the drug delivery device and at least a portion of a cartridge of the drug delivery device. The housing element comprises an engagement feature for axially constraining the housing element to a cartridge holder of the drug delivery device. In order to constrain the cartridge in the housing element, it further comprises at least one crush web protruding radially inwards into the interior space. The at least one crush web is angled relative to the longitudinal axis of the housing element by at least 3° such that when the cartridge is introduced into the interior space the at least one crush web folds radially outwards.
