DRUG INJECTION APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The disclosure relates to systems, methods and apparatus of storing, transporting, mixing, and injecting a drug as a solution, and in some embodiments, to a drug injection apparatus and system intended for use in mixing on demand a drug with a liquid, such as water, in a premeasured quantity and dosage, and injecting the drug mixture using an integrated hypodermic needle assembly. Also provided are methods of using such apparatus and systems.
Syringe barrel, method for manufacturing same, and pre-filled syringe
A syringe barrel includes: a barrel body including a nozzle portion at a distal end thereof; and a cap removably mounted to the nozzle portion and configured to seal a distal end opening of the nozzle portion. The cap includes: an inner cap formed of an elastic material and configured to come in liquid tight contact with the nozzle portion in a mounted state in which the cap is mounted to the nozzle portion, and a cylindrical outer cap formed of a material having a higher hardness than the inner cap and fixed around the inner cap. The inner cap includes: a base portion, and a cylindrical wall extending from the base portion in a proximal direction and surrounding the nozzle portion.
Locking hemodialysis needle assembly with integral needle tip protector
A needle assembly for medical or surgical use is disclosed, such as for hemodialysis. A representative needle assembly comprises an outer needle assembly and an integral needle tip protector. A representative outer needle assembly comprises: an outer needle comprising: a first lumen; a first aperture with a sharp needle tip at a first distal end of the outer needle; and a second aperture arranged opposite the first aperture. In another embodiment, the outer needle has a longitudinal slot and the integral needle tip protector includes a sliding connector which is slidable in the longitudinal slot. The integral needle tip protector is arranged within the first lumen and moveable between a retracted configuration and an extended configuration, and comprises: a needle tip cover arranged to shield the sharp needle tip in the extended configuration, the needle tip cover having a smooth or beveled distal surface forming a blunt tip.
ANESTHESIA APPLICATORS/INJECTORS FOR DENTAL AND OTHER APPLICATIONS AND METHODS OF USE
Disclosed are applicators and methods injecting of a liquid anesthetic into a dental patient with no or minimal pain. In accordance with one embodiment the applicator is for intraligamentary injection and includes an elongated, thin member having an open distal free formed of a resilient and somewhat conformable material suitable for producing a substantially fluid-tight interface with the anatomic structures at the gingival sulcus to inject the anesthetic therein. In another embodiment the applicator includes a flexible skirt surrounding a sharpened cannula, with the cannula being movable with respect to the skirt. The skirt is arranged to receive the anesthetic to anesthetize the gum, whereupon the cannula can then pierce the gum to inject the anesthetic into the underlying anatomic structure.

Needle protection device
A fluid injection device having a syringe body, a needle, and a needle protection device removable from the injection device and having a substantially flexible or deformable inner body and a substantially rigid outer body. In the stored position the inner body closes the dispenser orifice of the needle and the outer body co-operates with the injection device to fasten the protection device on the injection device. The protection device includes a protection system against accidental pricking, having protective flaps that are integral part of the outer body and movable between a covering position in which they cover the needle, and an open position in which the needle is uncovered. The protection system has a control ring that slides over the outer body so as to move the flaps from their covering position to their open position, before injection, and from their open position to their covering position, after injection.
Autoinjector having needle shield triggering
An autoinjector (100′) for expelling a single dose of a drug from a held cartridge (600) comprising a piston (630). The autoinjector includes a needle shield (350, 380′) axially movable from an initial extended position via a triggering position to a trigger release position. The needle shield (350, 380′) is operatively coupled to a plunger release element (320′, 1320) cooperating with a plunger (310, 400) to define a releasable retaining mechanism that retains the plunger release element (320′, 1320) threadedly engaged with a base thread component (204′, 1204) in a predefined relative rotational and axial position and against rotational bias provided by an actuator (330). The needle shield (350, 380′) is configured for operating the retaining mechanism to release the retaining of the plunger release element (320′, 1320) and the base thread component (204′, 1204) from the predefined relative rotational and axial position upon the needle shield (350, 380′) being moved into the trigger release position.
Disposable syringe set having improved compatibility
A disposable syringe set includes a syringe barrel in which a medicinal fluid inlet is formed and a plunger is fitted and coupled to an opening at the other side; a first screw-coupling portion formed on an outer circumference of the medicinal fluid inlet; a syringe needle hub in which a syringe needle is coupled to one end and an inner side at the other end is fitted and coupled to the outer circumference of the medicinal fluid inlet; and a second screw-coupling portion formed on an inner circumference of the syringe needle hub and configured to be coupled to the first screw-coupling portion. The first screw-coupling portion is formed as a female-thread-type coupling portion whose diameter is smaller than a reference diameter of the medicinal fluid inlet. The second screw-coupling portion is formed as a male-thread-type coupling portion configured to be coupled to the female-thread-type coupling portion.
Medication injection device
An injection device is provided herein comprising a container body for holding medication content having a distal end and a proximal end, the container body providing an outward flange at the distal end and a ledge at the proximal end; a piston placed at the proximal end of the container body for sealing and displacing medication content; a push rod placed inside the container body for moving the piston distally; and a connector providing an orifice for medication content delivery, placed at said distal end of said container body. The orifice in the connector provides medication content injection fluid pathway. With modification of the fundamental structure, a number of innovative device designs are created.
