Sanitary fitting
Disclosed herein are embodiments of a sanitary fitting for coupling a fluid conduit to a flexible container to facilitate sterile transfer therebetween, and methods of making and using such a sanitary fitting, whereby the sanitary fitting includes a first annular member having a first annular member bore extending between first annular member first and second ends, the first annular member second end terminating in a flange radially outwardly extending therefrom, the flange comprising a substantially planar face; a second annular member having a second annular member bore extending between second annular member first and second ends, the second annular member couplable to the first annular member to axially align the first and second annular member bores to provide a first fluid flow passageway; and a valve coupled to the second annular member, the valve operable to interrupt fluid flow through a fluid flow path which includes the first fluid flow passageway.
Connector for forming a fluid flow pathway
A connector for forming a fluid flow pathway by connection with a reciprocal connector. Both the connector and reciprocal connector include a fluid flow blockage part sheathed within an axially compressible sheath part. A first bearing surface receives an urging force to retract the blockage part axially along the sheath part. A terminal end of the sheath part defines a second bearing surface containing a fluid flow opening with the fluid flow blockage part retractably therein. A first chassis part includes a first catch part. A second chassis part includes a second catch part and a third bearing surface spaced from the second catch part along the second chassis part. Retraction of the blockage part forms a fluid flow pathway not sooner than immediately when the openings meet to allow fluid transfer the openings avoiding fluid leakage between connected connectors.
COUPLER DEVICE FOR VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR USE WITH MEDICAL INFUSION DEVICE
A coupler of a valve assembly for coupling a flow control valve to an infusion device. The coupler includes a proximal portion and a distal portion. The proximal portion comprises a plurality of recessed segments configured for receiving the infusion device. The distal portion comprises a valve flange that defines a central cavity for receiving the flow control valve. The valve flange comprises a swage extending radially inward to the central cavity for mechanically engaging a luer lock fitting of the valve assembly.
ANCHORABLE MEDICAL FLUID EXTENSION SET SYSTEM
Medical fluid extension set systems are disclosed that can include a tubing anchor coupled to tubing and a fluid coupling device, and can be anchored to a patient to resist unintended separation of the tubing anchor or a catheter coupled to the tubing, from a patient, and to permit separation or disconnection of a fluid pathway between the tubing and another device coupled to thereto upon exceeding a pulling force on the fluid coupling device, and where disconnection includes separation of first and second valve assemblies such that a fluid pathway of the first and second valve assemblies is obstructed upon disconnection of the fluid coupling device.
A CONNECTOR FOR FORMING A FLUID FLOW PATHWAY
A connector for forming a fluid flow pathway by connection with a reciprocal connector. Both the connector and reciprocal connector include a fluid flow blockage partsheathed within an axially compressible sheath part.
Fluid handling devices
Quick disconnect fluid coupling devices described herein. The fluid couplings are configured for use in fluid systems for the purpose of providing a low-spill quick disconnect coupling. The fluid couplings include portions that are pivotable in relation to each other to open and close a fluid pathway through the fluid couplings. Particular embodiments of these fluid coupling can be configured to improve medical fluid handling equipment because the fluid coupling devices can be connected and disconnected (e.g., multiple times) while minimizing fluid spillage.
MEDICAL CONNECTOR WITH AUTOMATIC SEALING ON DISCONNECTION
The present invention relates to a medical connector with automatic sealing on disconnection and to a method of connecting/disconnecting a medical connector.
Medical connector with closeable luer connector
Some embodiments relate to a luer connector comprising a housing having a hollow bore therethrough, a first end, and a second end, a male luer tip supported by the housing configured to rotate with respect to the housing, the luer tip having a first open end and a passageway through the luer tip in fluid communication with the first open end, and a substantially rigid internal member extending into the passageway of the luer tip toward the first open end of the luer tip. In some embodiments, at least one of the luer tip and the internal member can be axially moveable between a first closed position and a second open position relative to the other of the luer tip and the internal member. Further, the luer tip and the internal member can cooperate such that rotation of the luer tip in a first direction relative to the housing increases an axial displacement between the first open end of the luer tip and an end portion of the internal member.
Connector system for releasably connecting fluid conduits
Disclosed herein are embodiments of a connector system for releasably connecting together tubes, for example medical tubing, and methods of making and using such a connector system, whereby the connector system includes a female coupler having a first passageway, a male coupler having a second passageway, a catch movably coupled to the female coupler, and a catch-receiving element coupled to the male coupler. The connector system further includes a release element movably coupled to the female coupler, whereby travel of the release element along or over a female coupler outer surface of the female coupler disengages the catch from the catch-receiving element to achieve a disconnected condition of the connector system. Further disclosed herein are embodiments of a connector system for releasably connecting together tubes, whereby the connector system includes at least one valve biased by a valve-biasing member disposed external to or outside of the fluid flow path.
ASPIRATION SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TREATING ISCHEMIC STROKE
The present invention relates to methods, devices and systems for performing the removal of thrombus from a vessel lumen. More particularly the present invention relates to a thrombectomy system that includes an elongate catheter and a disposable aspiration pump and methods of performing medical procedures to remove clots, thrombus and emboli to re-establish the normal intravascular flow of blood.
