GARMENT CONTAINING INSECT REPELLENT DEVICE
A garment having added exterior pockets in which low temperature volatizable insect repellent mats may be carried which disperse the volatizable chemical at ambient temperature or in which an additional exothermic mat is provided to assist in the dispersion of the chemical.
ACTIVE APPAREL AND FABRIC AND COVERINGS
A fabric delivers active ingredients to a surface when the fabric includes a moist-vapor porous combination of fabric materials, and the fabric comprises at least 0.5% by total weight of at least one layer of the fabric of a superabsorbent polymer fiber. The superabsorbent polymer fiber contains an absorbed aqueous reservoir of an aqueous solution carrying the active ingredients. The superabsorbent fiber has a coating on its surface of an aqueous penetrable layer through which a liquid in the absorbed aqueous reservoir can migrate or flow, carrying the active ingredients onto an exposed surface of the superabsorbent polymer fiber, so that the active ingredients on the surface of the superabsorbent polymer can react or interact with an environment in contact with the active ingredients on the superabsorbent polymer fiber surface.
OXYGEN GENERATING FACE MASKS
A composition for healing or improving skin includes a fabric or material impregnated with an oxygen generating material. The fabric may include a first side in contact with the skin for providing oxygen to the skin and a second side between the oxygen generating material and the air surrounding the skin to form a barrier for retaining heat and inhibiting evaporation.
Treatment Application Garment
A treatment application garment, such as a glove or a sock, is disclosed. The garment allows for various treatments directed toward the fingers and toes, such as the fingernails and toenails. For example, each digit of the garment may contain an absorbent pad containing acetone. The hand or foot is inserted into the garment such that the nail is positioned below the absorbent pad containing the acetone, allowing the acetone to be constantly applied to the nail to remove polish therefrom. After the treatment is complete, the glove may be removed and the open end thereof tied off, thereby containing the acetone and the smell thereof within the glove. Other features and treatments are also disclosed.
DISPOSABLE DIAPER
A disposable diaper capable of providing good suppression of diaper rash. A disposable diaper including top sheet 30 constituting a surface for use, liquid-impervious sheet provided on the under face side, and absorbent element interposed therebetween, wherein the top sheet is formed of perforated nonwoven fabric having a number of holes arranged at intervals and each penetrating the two sides of the fabric, and a moisturizer M composed mainly of glycerin is applied to the top sheet.
CHEM-O-PORT COVER
A chemo-o-port cover includes flexible and stretchable material sized to cover the skin surface immediately above the implanted port and a centered ring structure secured on its surface to hold numbing cream. The thickness of the cover permits the cover to provide a barrier and movement. The height and diameter of the ring defines a volume sufficient to contain an amount of numbing cream to reduce or eliminate the pain associated with injecting the chemotherapy medicament into the implanted port structure. The stretchable material also contains adhesive regions to secure the cover to the skin of the patient and keep the cover in place for long periods of time. The adhesive permits repeated use of the cover—removal and reapplication.
Fluid delivery device with hydrophobic surface
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a liquid delivery apparatus. A non-limiting example of the apparatus includes a substrate including a cavity formed in a surface of the substrate. The apparatus can also include a membrane disposed on the surface of the substrate covering an opening of the cavity. The apparatus can also include a hydrophobic layer disposed on the membrane. The apparatus can also include a seal disposed between the membrane and the substrate, wherein the seal surrounds the opening of the cavity. The apparatus can also include an electrode layer coupled to the membrane.
DELIVERY SYSTEMS FOR RELEASE OF ACTIVE COMPOUNDS
Drug delivery systems and wearable articles including the drug delivery systems are provided. The drug delivery systems may include a substrate coated with at least one polymer and at least one active compound. The substrate is operable to include yarns, yarn precursors, threads, filaments, fibers, and/or other suitable substrates. Methods for manufacturing drug delivery systems are also provided. The methods are operable to include disposing a solution including a monomer and an active compound on the substrate. The methods are also operable to include exposing the solution and the substrate to UV light to initiate polymerization of the solution.
Maternal under garment
A garment for postnatal women for absorbing postpartum bleeding and providing soothing effects during post-partum recovery. The maternal under garment includes an exterior layer having a waist opening and a pair of leg openings. An interior layer overlaps the exterior layer along a front panel and a rear panel of the garment. An upper perimeter of the front panel includes a V-shape, wherein a nadir of the V-shape is centrally positioned on the front panel to comfortably rest below a stomach area of a woman. The maternal under garment includes an adjustable waist band to retract as the stomach area becomes smaller postpartum. Multiple layers are disposed between the interior and exterior layer, such as an absorbent layer for absorbing postpartum bleeding, a cooling layer for soothing genitals during postpartum recovery, and an antibacterial layer for assisting with pain relief and the healing process after birth.
Portable transdermal administration patch apparatus and preparation method thereof
A portable transdermal administration patch apparatus comprises a communication control device and a pharmaceutical device which is fixed to and arranged at a lower end of the communication control device and electrically connected to the communication control device. The communication control device is formed of a micro-battery, a wireless control device and a micro-controller which are electrically connected. The preparation of the patch apparatus is achieved by: the preparation of medicinal patches and non-medicinal patches, the mounting of electrodes, interfacing with a micro-controller, and the communication control system, and starting administration. The transdermal apparatus is wearable and can be remotely controlled, and is convenient for administration, in particular, for the situations of daily administration for elderly patients with chronic illness and when there are a larger number of admitted inpatients, where a nurse can pre-set the administration time and dose, thus saving time and efforts of medical staff.
