MULTI-FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM

A fluid delivery system is disclosed which comprises at least one first supply station for supplying a first fluid and at least one second supply station for supplying a second fluid different from the first fluid. The fluid delivery system further comprises a pressurizing unit for pressurizing the first and second fluids, said pressurizing unit comprising first and second pump modules, and each pump module comprising a chamber and a piston provided with a plunger to define first and second variable-volume sub-chambers. The fluid delivery system further comprises first and second inlet fluid circuits, first and second outlet fluid circuits, and a first recirculation fluid pathway fluidically connecting the first and second variable-volume sub-chambers of a pump module. Moreover, a first actuator is associated to said first recirculation fluid pathway for managing the fluid passage in both directions between said first and second variable-volume sub-chambers of said pump module. Methods of operating the fluid delivery system are disclosed too.

The present disclosure relates to a medical pump for dispensing a liquid. The medical pump includes a housing, a receptacle and a piston. The housing includes an inlet for receiving said liquid and an outlet for dispensing said liquid. The receptacle includes a chamber and a passage that is in fluid communication with the chamber. The receptacle is received in the housing and is axially movable relative to the housing from a filling position, wherein the passage fluidly communicates the chamber with the inlet, to a dispensing position, wherein the passage fluidly communicates the chamber with the outlet. The piston is received in the chamber and is configured such that when the receptacle is in the filling position the piston is axially moveable relative to the receptacle and when the receptacle is in the dispensing position the piston is axially moveable relative to the receptacle.

The drug injection device includes: a pump module including a shaft performing a linear reciprocating motion in one direction; a rotary part including a first end connected to the shaft and a second end which rotates and reciprocates according to the linear reciprocating motion; at least one sensor configured to obtain contact time information about a time when the at least one sensor comes into contact with the second end; and a controller configured to determine a driving time of the pump module based on the contact time information and determine an additional driving time of the pump module based on the driving time.

Disposable dual-action reciprocating pump assembly

A pump device includes a rotary motor, a compartment for insertion of a disposable pump part, and one or more pulsation-reduction elements. The disposable pump part includes an input port, an output port, and a dual-action reciprocating assembly. The input port is configured for intaking fluid. The output port is configured for outputting the fluid. The dual-action reciprocating assembly is configured for pumping the fluid. The assembly includes a single piston and a rod configured to be coupled to the rotary motor, so as to drive the piston. The one or more pulsation-reduction elements are configured to reduce a pulsation in the outputted fluid, caused by the single-piston dual-action reciprocating assembly.

An infusion pump is disclosed. The infusion pump comprises a chamber having a distal end and a proximal end, and a longitudinal axis between the proximal end and the distal end. A piston is arranged for reciprocating movement within the chamber and along the longitudinal axis. At least one outlet is arranged from the chamber and may comprise an outlet valve. At least one inlet is provided into the chamber. The outlet and the inlet are axially spaced apart along the longitudinal axis of the chamber. A method for operating the pump is also provided.

FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM

A fluid delivery system is disclosed which comprises at least one supply station for supplying at least one fluid, a pressurizing unit for pressurizing said at least one fluid, an inlet fluid circuit in fluid communication with said at least one supply station and with a pump module of said pressurizing unit and an outlet fluid circuit in fluid communication with said pump module for discharging the fluid from the chamber. The chamber is provided with a piston reciprocating therein, thereby defining first and second variable-volume sub-chambers. The fluid delivery system further comprises a recirculation fluid circuit fluidically connecting said first and second variable-volume sub-chambers, and an actuator associated to said recirculation fluid circuit for managing the passage of said at least one fluid between said first and second variable-volume sub-chambers in both directions. A method of operating the fluid delivery system is also disclosed.

MODULAR FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM

A modular fluid delivery system is disclosed which comprises at least one supply station for supplying at least one fluid, and a pressurizing unit for pressurizing said at least one fluid, said pressurizing unit comprising at least one driving unit and at least one disposable pump module assembly. The disposable pump module assembly comprises at least one disposable pump module and a fluid circuit tubing. The disposable pump module comprises a supporting element which defines at least one chamber, at least one inlet fluid circuit pathway, at least one outlet fluid circuit pathway and at least one recirculation fluid circuit pathway. The fluid circuit tubing comprises at least one inlet fluid circuit tubing, at least one outlet fluid circuit tubing and at least one recirculation fluid circuit tubing.

The system includes an air detector configured to detect one or more air bubbles in a fluid path associated with the air detection region, at least one shutoff valve at a distal end of the fluid path assembly, and at least one processor programmed or configured to actuate the shutoff valve in response to the air detector detecting the one or more air bubbles in the fluid path associated with the air detection region to prevent fluid flow out of the fluid path assembly. The fluid path assembly has a length greater than a distance that an air bubble can travel or expand during an actuation time of the shutoff valve.
