Self-orienting syringe and syringe interface
A syringe includes a barrel having a distal end, a proximal end, and a sidewall extending therebetween along a longitudinal axis. At least one engagement member protrudes from a terminal portion of the sidewall in a proximal direction along the longitudinal axis. The at least one engagement member tapers axially in a direction from the distal end toward the proximal end. The at least one engagement member is configured for engagement with a locking mechanism of a fluid injector to releasably lock the syringe with the fluid injector. A taper of the at least one engagement member is configured to rotationally guide the syringe into alignment with the locking mechanism and axially eject the syringe upon rotation of the syringe. The locking mechanism operatively engages the at least one engagement member regardless of an orientation of the syringe about the longitudinal axis relative to the injector.
MEDICAL LABELING APPARATUS WITH DRUG INFORMATION
Provided is a labeling apparatus that generates a label for labeling a drug container at a healthcare facility. The labeling apparatus includes a code reader that reads a computer-readable code encoding a drug to be stored by the drug container and transmits a signal indicative of the identity of the drug in response to reading the computer-readable code. A non-transitory computer-readable memory stores a drug formulary comprising a plurality of drug entries. A processing component is configured to identify, from the formulary, the identity of the drug corresponding to the computer-readable code and receives a patient identity from a computer-accessible source. A printer is operable to print label content identifying the specific drug onto a label that is to be applied to the drug container. The label content includes the identity of the drug and the patient identity encoded by a label code that is computer-readable.
SYSTEM FOR CONTRAST AGENT-BASED MEDICAL IMAGING
A system is for contrast agent-based medical imaging. In an embodiment, the system includes a gantry of a medical imaging device; a contrast agent injection device; and a support arm including a frame element, a first connecting element and a second connecting element. In an embodiment, the frame element is connected to a stationary support frame of the gantry via the first connecting element such that at least part of the frame element is mounted to be movable relative to the stationary support frame of the gantry, and the contrast agent injection device is connected to at least part of the frame element via the second connecting element such that the contrast agent injection device is mounted to be movable relative to at least part of the frame element.
Drug injection device
A cartridge adapter includes: a cartridge holder having a space that can accommodate therein a drug cartridge, the drug cartridge including a cylinder having a tubular internal space extending in a longitudinal direction, a gasket supported in the internal space so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction, and a drug held in the internal space; a piston that moves the gasket in the longitudinal direction in the internal space of the cylinder; a piston guide that movably supports the piston and connected to the cartridge holder; and a piston driving mechanism that drives the piston in the longitudinal direction.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING A FILL VOLUME OF A FLUID CHAMBER
A system and method for determining the fill volume of a fluid chamber includes a fluid injector, at least one fluid chamber in fluid communication with the fluid injector, one or more sensors positioned relative to the at least one fluid chamber and configured to detect a position of a liquid-gas interface of the fluid contained in the at least one fluid chamber, and at least one processor in communication with the sensors and the fluid injector, and configured to: determine the position of the liquid-gas interface of the fluid, calculate the volume of fluid in the at least one fluid chamber based on the position of the liquid-gas interface, and at least one of: i) display the volume of the fluid; ii) enable the fluid injector to perform an action; and iii) disable the fluid injector from performing the action.
SMART INJECTOR TURN KNOBS
A fluid injector system (1000) is configured to perform an injection protocol. The fluid injector system includes a housing (11) and a controller (900) operatively associated with a user input device (40) and a fluid actuator (16). The controller includes at least one processor programmed or configured to determine an orientation of the housing, receive at least one signal from the user input device, determine a direction of fluid actuation based on the orientation of the housing and the at least one signal, and actuate the fluid actuator in the direction of fluid actuation. The direction of fluid actuation corresponds to at least one of actuating the fluid actuator to inject fluid from a fluid reservoir and actuating the fluid actuator to draw fluid into the fluid reservoir.
LIQUID DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD
A crawling mechanism for a drug delivery device has a central longitudinal axis and is arranged to crawl in an axial direction. The crawling mechanism includes a housing and one or more swing members pivotally coupled to the housing that are arranged to swing relative to the housing between an initial position and a terminal position suitable for urging crawling of the mechanism.
SYRINGE BRACKET WITH A SEAL
A syringe pump includes a syringe bracket fixing a syringe in a syringe channel. The syringe bracket is connected to the syringe pump via a tubular bracket arm and can be pulled out of the syringe pump and locked in the pulled-out position by a catch mechanism so as to insert a syringe into the syringe pump, and after the catch mechanism is released, a spring preload on the bracket arm pulls the syringe bracket back to the syringe pump. The retraction of the bracket arm is damped by a motion damper.
Angiogram Injections Using Electrocardiographic Synchronization
An injection system is described that receives, from one or more sensors, a first group of one or more signals indicating a current volume of injection fluid dispensed from a fluid reservoir at a first time. The injection system determines, based on the first group of one or more signals, that a difference between a dispensed volume limit and the current volume of the injection fluid dispensed from the fluid reservoir at the first time is less than a necessary volume of fluid required to complete both a systolic injection phase and a diastolic injection phase. The injection system further, responsive to determining that the difference is less than the necessary volume of fluid required to complete both the systolic injection phase and the diastolic injection phase, controls the injection system to refrain from performing each of the systolic injection phase and the diastolic injection phase.
Online, real-time mass vaccination and data collection system
A system for mass vaccination includes a plurality of portable electronic injectors, a mobile process manager and a database. Each portable electronic injector includes at least one needle to administer a measured amount of at least one vaccine to a body skin/tissue and an indicator system to provide an indication when either an injection error occurs or when a vaccination indication is required. The mobile process manager is in wireless communication with the plurality of injection devices and controls a mass vaccination. The process manager transmits task data to all injection devices in parallel via WI-FI, receives the vaccination indications from each injector in real time, also receives injection errors and vaccination process data, alerts a vaccination process overseer generally in real-time of the errors and transmits the injection data from each injector via cellular and/or internet transmission to the database.
