Medication Delivery System and Method
20230050791 · 2023-02-16 ·

According to one example of the present disclosure an infusion device is configured to control a medication delivery apparatus to intravenously deliver a pharmaceutical preparation to a patient. The infusion device comprises a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to cause the medication delivery apparatus to deliver the pharmaceutical preparation to the patient according to a predetermined dose profile. The predetermined dose profile is designed to deliver a therapeutic dose of the pharmaceutical preparation to the patient over a predetermined infusion time in a manner which facilitates safe detection of an adverse reaction of the patient to the pharmaceutical preparation, or desensitization the patient to the pharmaceutical preparation, during a first stage of administering the therapeutic dose.

ELECTRIC INJECTION DEVICE
20230050647 · 2023-02-16 ·

An electric injection device at least comprises an outer case, a drive mechanism, a transmission mechanism, a linkage mechanism and a push mechanism. The drive mechanism, the transmission mechanism, the linkage mechanism and the push mechanism are all assembled in the outer case, and the drive mechanism is used to drive the transmission mechanism. The transmission mechanism can transmit power to rotate a push block regularly and drive a brake end of the linkage mechanism continuously. The push mechanism comprises at least a pushing shaft and a pushing element. The brake end can continuously push the pushing element, and the pushing element propels the pushing shaft to further push a syringe assembled on the outer case, so as to use electric injection instead of manual injection to complete the syringe.

Syringe with a bidirectional plunger advancing mechanism for a micro-dosing syringe pump

Disclosed is a syringe for a micro-dosing syringe pump. The syringe includes a reservoir having an outlet port; a plunger having a track, with the plunger received inside a portion of the reservoir; a plunger driver comprising a gear connected to one end of a shaft and a pin located adjacent an opposite end of the shaft, with the plunger driver received inside the plunger and with the pin located inside and engaging the track. In use, rotation of the gear in a first direction advances the plunger into the reservoir a first distance as the pin travels in the track and rotation of the gear in a second direction opposite the first direction advances the plunger a further distance into the reservoir as the pin travels in the track. The design prevents excess dosing in a runaway motor failure.

Drug injection device

A cartridge adapter includes: a cartridge holder having a space that can accommodate therein a drug cartridge, the drug cartridge including a cylinder having a tubular internal space extending in a longitudinal direction, a gasket supported in the internal space so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction, and a drug held in the internal space; a piston that moves the gasket in the longitudinal direction in the internal space of the cylinder; a piston guide that movably supports the piston and connected to the cartridge holder; and a piston driving mechanism that drives the piston in the longitudinal direction.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING A FILL VOLUME OF A FLUID CHAMBER
20180008787 · 2018-01-11 ·

A system and method for determining the fill volume of a fluid chamber includes a fluid injector, at least one fluid chamber in fluid communication with the fluid injector, one or more sensors positioned relative to the at least one fluid chamber and configured to detect a position of a liquid-gas interface of the fluid contained in the at least one fluid chamber, and at least one processor in communication with the sensors and the fluid injector, and configured to: determine the position of the liquid-gas interface of the fluid, calculate the volume of fluid in the at least one fluid chamber based on the position of the liquid-gas interface, and at least one of: i) display the volume of the fluid; ii) enable the fluid injector to perform an action; and iii) disable the fluid injector from performing the action.

METALLIC SUPPORT STRUCTURE IN THE DRIVE ARM/HEAD OF A MEDICAL FLUID PUMP

A medical fluid pump, in particular a syringe pump, includes a housing and a drive head linearly movable toward the housing via a tubular or rod-shaped drive arm. The drive head has a drive head lower shell facing the housing and a drive head upper shell turned away from the housing. A metallic support structure in the form of a plate is accommodated in an interior space formed by the drive head lower shell and the drive head upper shell and is directly fixed to the drive head lower shell and to a free end portion of the tubular or rod-shaped drive arm.

SEAL BETWEEN HOUSING SHELLS

A medical pump, preferably a peristaltic pump or a syringe pump, for conveying a medical fluid. The pump includes a housing with an upper housing shell, a lower housing shell and a front lid, and a seal between the upper housing shell and the lower housing shell. The front lid is pivotably arranged on the lower housing shell.

SYRINGE BRACKET WITH A SEAL

A syringe pump includes a syringe bracket fixing a syringe in a syringe channel. The syringe bracket is connected to the syringe pump via a tubular bracket arm and can be pulled out of the syringe pump and locked in the pulled-out position by a catch mechanism so as to insert a syringe into the syringe pump, and after the catch mechanism is released, a spring preload on the bracket arm pulls the syringe bracket back to the syringe pump. The retraction of the bracket arm is damped by a motion damper.

ARRANGEMENT OF OPERATING ELEMENTS AND DISPLAYS IN A MEDICAL PUMP SYSTEM

A medical pump system includes at least one medical fluid pump of a first type and at least one medical fluid pump of a second type. The medical fluid pumps can be assembled or arranged vertically, with one of the medical fluid pumps positioned above the other. Each medical fluid pump has a movable front flap with an integrated display and operating elements. The medical fluid pumps can be directly connected to one another in a vertical arrangement, or arranged in a vertical arrangement with the aid of a carrying or holding device. When the medical fluid pumps are vertically arranged, the displays and operating elements of the respective medical fluid pumps are aligned vertically.

Pump device comprising a storage device for receiving a handset

A pump device (1) for administering a medical fluid to a patient (4), comprises a housing 5 (10), a pumping mechanism (12) for pumping a medical fluid through an infusion line (3) toward a patient (4), and a handset (16) for entering a control command for controlling an operation of the pumping mechanism (12). Herein, a storage device (15) is arranged on the housing (10) and comprises a receptacle (150) defining a cavity (151) therein for receiving the handset (16). In this way a pump device is provided which allows for improved comfort in particular when using the pump device in a healthcare environment, for example at the bedside of a patient.
