Drive mechanism for a medication delivery device and medication delivery device
A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device containing a resilient member and having a rotation member configured to be rotated in a first direction during setting of a dose of a medication and to be rotated in a second direction during delivery of the dose, where the rotation member is coupled to a drive member that is coupled to a piston rod such that on dose delivery the piston rod is displaced in a distal direction to dispense a medicament and where the resilient member prevents movement of the drive member and the piston rod during dose setting.
Multiple use disposable injection pen
A medication injection pen, including a housing, a dose set knob (DSK) comprising an internal key, and a dose stop member engaging the dose set knob. Rotation of the dose set knob to set a medication dose causes rotation of the dose stop member with respect to the dose set knob, and when the dose set knob is rotated to a last dose setting position, the dose stop member rotationally abuts the internal key thereby preventing further rotational movement of the dose set knob in a dose setting direction.
Drive mechanisms suitable for use in drug delivery devices
A drive mechanism suitable for use in drug delivery devices is disclosed. The drive mechanism may be used with injector-type drug delivery devices, such as those permitting a user to set the delivery dose. The drive mechanism may include a housing, a dose dial sleeve, and a drive sleeve. A clutch is configured to permit rotation of the drive sleeve and the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are coupled through the clutch. Conversely, when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are in a de-coupled state, rotation of the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing is permitted and rotation of the drive sleeve with respect to the housing is prevented. In the de-coupled state, axial movement of the drive sleeve transfers force in a longitudinal direction for actuation of a drug delivery device.
Method for Assembling a Drug Delivery Device and Drug Delivery Device
A method for assembling a drug delivery device that includes mounting a cartridge with a bung, the mechanism, the plunger and the spring within a housing such that a spring biases a plunger in a dispensing direction and that a drum and/or the release member is attached to the plunger attaching a tool with torque measurement capability to the drum or a release member of a dose mechanism in a state where at least one housing part is detached from further housing part; setting a dose by rotating the dose setting member in a first direction, activating a trigger and monitoring the torque applied to the drum or the release member; releasing the trigger upon detection of a predetermined change in the torque measured by the tool; and releasing the tool and closing the housing.
Drug Delivery Device with a Drive Mechanism
The present disclosure relates to a drive mechanism which is suitable for an injection device, especially a drug delivery device. The mechanism comprises a housing having a longitudinal axis defined by a compartment for receiving a cartridge, a plunger suitable for acting on a bung of a cartridge retained in the housing, a strained pressure spring arranged between the housing and the plunger, a retaining member coupled to the plunger, and a release member operable between a first state, in which the release member constrains the retaining member to the housing, and a second state, in which the release member is movable relative to the housing.
ASSEMBLY FOR A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
An assembly for a drug delivery device is proposed, the assembly comprising: a housing; a clutch member; and a drive member, wherein one of the clutch member and the drive member is provided with at least one deflectable feature and the other one of the clutch member and the drive member is provided with at least one interaction feature, the clutch member and the drive member are movable relative to one another between a first relative position and a second relative position, in the first relative position, the clutch member and/or the drive member is rotatable relative to the housing, in the second relative position, the deflectable feature is arranged to prevent rotation of the clutch member and/or of the drive member relative to the housing, and wherein the deflectable feature and the interaction feature are arranged such that, when the clutch member and the drive member are moved relative to one another from the first relative position into the second relative position, the deflectable feature and the interaction feature mechanically interact in order to deflect the deflectable feature.
Sensor Assembly and System
A sensor assembly for an injection device may include a housing and/or a mechanical interface. The housing may include a sensor and/or a wireless communication device. The sensor may be configured to detect a movement of a component of the injection device associated with an injection operation of the injection device. The wireless communication device may be configured to communicate, to a computing device, information associated with the movement of the component of the injection device. The mechanical interface may be configured to attach the housing to an exterior surface of the injection device. A system may include the sensor assembly and the injection device.
INJECTOR WITH ADJUSTABLE DOSING
An injector for injecting a medicament in a patient. The injector includes a container comprising a fluid chamber containing a first volume of a medicament, and an injection conduit associated with the fluid chamber for defining a fluid pathway therefrom to inject the medicament from the fluid chamber through the injection conduit to an injection location. The injector also includes a firing mechanism associated with the fluid chamber for expelling the medicament from the fluid chamber through the injection conduit, arid a volume-control mechanism operable to control a fraction of the first volume of medicament that is injected when the firing mechanism is actuated to inject the medicament.
ARRANGEMENT FOR A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
An arrangement for a drug delivery device is provided, the arrangement comprising: a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, a dose setting member which is rotatable relative to the housing for a dose setting operation in order to set a dose of drug to be delivered, a tracking member, and a guide track. Wherein the tracking member is operatively coupled or coupleable to the dose setting member, or wherein b) the dose setting member is a tracking member. The guide track is configured to form a guiding interface to guide and/or drive movement of the tracking member. The tracking member can be displaced towards an axial tracking member end position during the dose setting operation, wherein the distance by which the tracking member is displaced towards the axial tracking member end position depends on the size of the set dose.
