Drive mechanism for a medication delivery device and medication delivery device
A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device containing a resilient member and having a rotation member configured to be rotated in a first direction during setting of a dose of a medication and to be rotated in a second direction during delivery of the dose, where the rotation member is coupled to a drive member that is coupled to a piston rod such that on dose delivery the piston rod is displaced in a distal direction to dispense a medicament and where the resilient member prevents movement of the drive member and the piston rod during dose setting.
Injection pen
An injection pen, comprising a housing, a lead screw axially moveable in the housing, a dose set member for dose setting and dose correcting, threadably connected to the housing and having a first mating feature, a setback member having a second mating feature for engaging the first mating feature, a clicker that generates an audible or tactile indication during operation, the clicker being operatively connected to the dose set member, and a push button operatively connected to the setback member to cause the second mating feature to engage the first mating feature during an injection, the push button receiving the clicker, wherein the first mating feature is disengaged from the second mating feature during the dose setting and the dose correcting and engaged with the second mating feature during the injection.
Method and device for delivering subcutaneous dose through multiple injections
A device for administering needle-free subcutaneous treatment to a patient comprises an actuator configured to deliver a plurality of volumes of a treatment at a plurality of locations on a body of the patient; at least one imaging device configured to detect a movement of the needle-free device from a first location on the body of the patient to a second location on the body of the patient; and a processor configured to determine the second location on the body of the device relative to the first location from the movement of the needle-free device relative to the first location on the body, the processor further configured to determine a volume of the plurality of volumes of the treatment to deliver to the body of the patient at the second location.
Drug injection device
A drug injection device includes a housing with a cartridge having a predetermined drug volume, a dose setting mechanism for setting a drug dose, and a dose delivery mechanism. A dose setting service element rotates about a longitudinal axis during the drug dose setting. The dose setting mechanism has a last dose setting device to prevent setting of a drug dose greater than the drug volume remaining in the cartridge. The last dose setting device includes a pinion coaxial with the longitudinal axis that rotates about the longitudinal axis with the dose setting service element during drug dose setting, and a rack engaged with the pinion that moves parallel to the longitudinal axis when the pinion rotates. The pinion and the rack have mutual abutment elements that prevent further rotation of the pinion after the rack has travelled an axial length correlated to the predetermined drug volume.
Method and device for delivering a subcutaneous dose through multiple injections
A method of administering subcutaneous treatment to a patient is provided. The method includes delivering, by a needle-free injection device, a first volume of a treatment at a first location on a surface of a body of the patient; detecting a movement of the needle-free injection device relative to the first location; determining, from the movement of the needle-free injection device relative to the first location, a second location of the needle-free injection device relative to the first location; determining a second volume of the treatment to deliver at the surface of the body of the patient at the second location; and delivering, by the needle-free injection device, the second volume of the treatment at the second location on the surface of the body of the patient.
Dose setting mechanism and medicament delivery device comprising ihe dose setting mechanism
A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device, which dose setting mechanism comprises, a tubular member 10 having a longitudinal track 18 of a predetermined length; a dose drum 40, coaxial with the tubular member 10, and being axially and rotationally movable relative to the tubular member 10; a stop member 90, axially movable but rotationally locked relative to the tubular member 10, and further being in an axially slaved connection with the dose drum 40; wherein said stop member 90 comprises a track follower 98 in engagement with the longitudinal track 18, such that rotational movement of the dose drum 40 relative to the tubular member 10 may cause a maximum axial displacement of said dose drum 40 and said stop member 90, relative to the tubular member 10, corresponding to said predetermined length.
Assembly for a Drug Delivery Device and Drug Delivery Device
An assembly for a drug delivery device comprises a housing, a dose member which is displaceable in a proximal direction with respect to the housing for setting of a dose of a drug, a clutch member which is displaced in the proximal direction with respect to the housing when setting the dose, and a stop member configured to define a clutch stop position. The clutch member and the dose member are configured to mechanically cooperate with one another when the clutch member is in the clutch stop position, thereby preventing further displacement of the dose member in the proximal direction with respect to the housing during setting of the dose.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a locking assembly that reliably and consistently unlocks a dose injection button and concurrently a lead screw when the dose setting mechanism is transitioned from a non-activated state to an activated state. This locking assembly uses a rotating plate having a locking protrusion that engages a radial projecting tab on a rotationally fixed plunger rod nut. An alignment member is also presented that prevents rotational drift of a dosing member.
