SELF-RIGHTING SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND RELATED COMPONENTS
Self-righting articles, such as self-righting capsules for administration to a subject, are generally provided. In some embodiments, the self-righting article may be configured such that the article may orient itself relative to a surface. In some embodiments, the self-righting article may have a particular shape and/or distribution of density (or mass) which, for example, enables the self-righting behavior of the article. In some embodiments, the self-righting article may comprise a tissue interfacing component and/or a pharmaceutical agent. In some cases, upon contact of the tissue with the tissue engaging surface of the article, the self-righting article may be configured to release one or more tissue interfacing components. In some cases, the tissue interfacing component may comprise and/or be associated with the pharmaceutical agent.
Cap for syringe needle and device for dialysis circuit priming
A needle cap and a dialysis circuit priming device with increased safety and convenience in the cleaning and priming of a blood circuit are provided. According to the present invention, a needle cap is provided including two needle connecting parts, and a flow path connecting the two needle connecting parts. A dialysis circuit priming device is also provided including two needles, two needle connecting parts each arranged with the two needles respectively, and a flow path for connecting the two needle connecting parts.
INTERSTITIAL FLUID REMOVAL DEVICE
An interstitial fluid removal device including a first needle, a second needle, a fluid injector and an interstitial fluid extractor. The first needle is configured for insertion in a tissue of a multicellular organism to provide a fluid inlet channel. The second needle is configured for insertion in a tissue of a multicellular organism to provide an interstitial fluid outlet channel. The fluid injector is arranged in fluid communication with both a fluid source and the first needle and configured to inject a fluid in the tissue of the multicellular organism. The fluid extractor is arranged in fluid communication with the second needle and configured to extract interstitial fluid from the tissue of the multicellular organism. The fluid injector and the fluid extractor are independently and/or simultaneously operable with respect to each other.
METHODS AND PROCESSES FOR ENHANCING THE AESTHETIC APPEARANCE OF A FACE
The present patent document describes methods for enhancing the aesthetic appearance of a human face by injecting soft tissue filler material in the temporal region. The soft tissue filler material is injected into a subdermal plane; preferably from an injection site about 1 cm anterior to the apex of the tragus. A single injection may be performed on either side of the face.
Drug delivery device and method of operation
A computerized electro-mechanical drug delivery device configured to deliver at least one dose of two or more medicaments. The device comprises a control unit. An electro-mechanical drive unit is operably coupled to the control unit and a primary reservoir for a first medicament and a secondary reservoir for a fluid agent, e.g. a second medicament. An operator interface is in communication with the control unit. A single dispense assembly is configured for fluid communication with the primary and the secondary reservoir. Activation of the operator panel sets a first dose from the primary reservoir and based on the first dose and a therapeutic dose profile, the control unit is configured to determine a dose or range of the fluid agent. Alternatively, the control unit determines or calculates a dose or range of a third medicament. Further, a dispense interface for use with a drug delivery device is disclosed.
Method and device for hair loss prediction and personalized scalp care
In accordance with various embodiments, provided is a scalp management service provision server for providing a hair loss prevention service and scalp care service for a user, including: a DB management unit interlocked with the scalp management service provision server and configured to obtain a scalp image of the user from a scalp care device including a camera; a scalp condition diagnosis unit configured to determine a scalp condition of the user based on the obtained scalp image; a hair condition diagnosis unit configured to determine a hair condition of the user based on the obtained scalp image; a hair loss diagnosis unit configured to provide a current hair loss progress degree of the user and a hair loss prediction simulation of the user based on the scalp condition and the hair condition; a scalp care solution provision unit configured to provide information about a scalp analysis result and hair analysis result of the user through a user terminal of the user and to determine a scalp care product for the user from among a number of scalp care products included in a scalp care product DB; and a remote care device control unit configured to remotely control the scalp care device with a control value determined according to the scalp analysis result and hair analysis result of the user.
Pen needle multiple carrier injection system
A multiple carrier injection system includes an adapter, having at least one arm, and a pen needle assembly. The pen needle assembly includes a hub retaining a needle and a bullet having a cover to seal the bullet, where the bullet encloses the hub in a first position. The arm engages the adapter to the hub, and the arm causes the hub to rotate within the bullet to move the hub into a second position.
SELF-RIGHTING SYSTEMS AND RELATED COMPONENTS AND METHODS
Self-righting articles, such as self-righting capsules for administration to a subject, are generally provided. In some embodiments, the self-righting article may be configured such that the article may orient itself relative to a surface (e.g., a surface of a tissue of a subject). The self-righting articles described herein may comprise one or more tissue engaging surfaces configured to engage (e.g., interface with, inject into, anchor) with a surface (e.g., a surface of a tissue of a subject). In some embodiments, the self-righting article may have a particular shape and/or distribution of density (or mass) which, for example, enables the self-righting behavior of the article. In some embodiments, the self-righting article may comprise a tissue interfacing component and/or a pharmaceutical agent (e.g., for delivery of the active pharmaceutical agent to a location internal of the subject). In some cases, upon contact of the tissue with the tissue engaging surface of the article, the self-righting article may be configured to release one or more tissue interfacing components. In some cases, the tissue interfacing component is associated with a self-actuating component. For example, the self-righting article may comprise a self-actuating component configured, upon exposure to a fluid, to release the tissue interfacing component from the self-righting article. In some cases, the tissue interfacing component may comprise and/or be associated with the pharmaceutical agent (e.g., for delivery to a location internal to a subject).
