METHODS, SYSTEMS AND DEVICES FOR ADMINISTERING MEDICATION
Systems, methods and devices for administering medication are disclosed. One or more embodiments of a medication delivery device may include a syringe, a needle, a guiding element, and a volume limiter for limiting the amount of medication that can be drawn from a vial. At least one method for administering medication using a medication delivery device, may include: inserting a vial into a guiding element, drawing back on a plunger, removing the guiding element and the vial from a needle to expose the needle, inserting the needle into a patient, depressing the plunger to inject the medication into the patient, and withdrawing the medication delivery device from the patient.
AUTOINJECTOR WITH DISCHARGE STOP
An autoinjector having a housing for receiving a product container, a propelling member, a drive for automatically discharging a liquid product, a needle-guard spring for pretensioning a needle-guard sleeve, a grid with a multiplicity of latch elements arranged along the longitudinal direction, and an engagement element which, by engagement in the grid, blocks a discharging movement of the propelling member. A control element of the autoinjector interacts with the engagement element via a control cam such that, when the control element moves in the distal direction by the needle-guard spring, the engagement element is brought into engagement with the grid. Since the force of the needle-guard spring is used for the engagement, the engagement element can be mounted without specific elastic force acting in an engagement direction, and can also be mounted in an articulated manner and/or in a manner limited to pure guidance in the engagement direction.
INJECTION END POINT SIGNALLING ASSEMBLY FOR PRE-FILLED SYRINGES
An injection endpoint signalling assembly is provided that is adapted and configured for mounting on, and use with, a pre-filled syringe. The injection endpoint assembly is configured to prevent a signalling of an injection endpoint before the plunger of the pre-filled syringe has reached a limit of a permitted extent of a direction of injection travel. The assembly is further configured to enable the signalling of the injection end point when the plunger of the pre-filled syringe has reached the limit of the permitted extent of the direction of injection travel and is prevented from moving in a direction of travel different to the direction of injection travel.
Patient training device for use with a safety syringe injector
A reusable safety syringe training device is provided. The device comprises a syringe contained within a syringe protective member. The syringe protective member is movable vertically within an outer protective sheath from a first position to a second position and back to the first position. In the first position, the device is in an injection-ready position with the needle exposed and the syringe protective member in a locked vertical position with respect to the outer protective sheath. In the second position, the device is in a post-injection position such that the syringe protective member is no longer vertically locked with respect to the outer protective sheath and has moved vertically upward thereby rendering the needle within the outer protective sheath. The plunger carries a release flange sufficient to engage release latches that otherwise retain the syringe protective member in the first position. The release flange engages that release latches when the user pushes the plunger down to effectuate the injection. Once pressure is removed from the plunger after the injection has concluded, a springe mechanism drives the syringe protective member upwards to the second position. The user can then turn the plunger such that the release flange is no longer able to engage the release latches and push the plunger back down to lock the syringe protective member in its first position. The user is then able to pull the plunger back up while the syringe protective member remains locked, turn the plunger back to a position where the release flange is in a position to engage the release latches again, and perform another injection.
Drug Delivery Device
The invention relates to a drug delivery device comprising: a syringe with a body from which a needle extends and an inner sheath; a piston rod comprising a piston and an actuation head, a support sheath for holding the body. It is envisaged that the support sheath and the actuation head comprise corresponding indicators.
NON-REUSABLE SYRINGE AND METHODS OF USE
A syringe includes a barrel extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite proximal and distal ends. The barrel includes a proximal inner surface and a distal inner surface. The proximal inner surface defines a proximal chamber and the distal inner surface defines a distal chamber. The barrel includes first teeth extending from the proximal inner surface. A piston includes a body having opposite proximal and distal sections. The piston includes second teeth extending from an outer surface of the proximal section. The second teeth directly engage the first teeth to allow the piston to translate distally relative to the barrel along the longitudinal axis and prevent the piston from translating proximally relative to the barrel along the longitudinal axis. Systems, kits and methods are disclosed.
Medicament delivery device
The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing, a biased medicament delivery member guard arranged movable in relation to the housing from a proximally extended position to a retracted position, a power pack comprising a plunger rod and a force element arranged to act on said plunger rod, which power pack is actuated by a release clip movable in relation to the housing and arranged to said plunger rod for releasably holding said plunger rod with the force element in a tensioned state; a rotator rotatably arranged inside said housing, which rotator is arranged with a guide element and a medicament delivery member guard lock element on its outer surface, wherein said medicament delivery member guard is arranged with release clip activation elements operably arranged to act on said release clip for releasing said plunger rod, and wherein said medicament delivery member guard is further arranged with a rotator activator element arranged to cooperate with said guide element for turning said rotator, upon movement of said medicament delivery member guard to the retracted position, and wherein, upon movement of said medicament delivery member guard back to the extended position, said rotator activator element will engage said medicament delivery member guard lock element and lock said medicament delivery member guard in a shielding position after removal of said medicament delivery device from a medicament delivery site.
Injection Device with an End-of-Dose Indicator
Provided is an injection device for injecting a substance, comprising a case receiving a barrel containing the substance to be injected and comprising a stopper movable inside the barrel, a plunger unit comprising a triggering portion, the plunger unit being coupled to the stopper and movable with regard to the case from an initial, proximal position to a final, distal position to inject the substance when the barrel is provided into the case, an end-of-dose indicator movable from a hidden position to a visible position in which at least one portion of the end-of-dose indicator is visible to a user, hiding means for locking the end-of-dose indicator in the hidden position and configured to be unlocked by the triggering portion of the plunger unit when the plunger unit reaches an indicator position.
PATIENT TRAINING DEVICE FOR USE WITH A SAFETY SYRINGE INJECTOR
The present invention provides reusable safety syringe devices for use as a teaching and practice tool.
