Medical injection device
An injection device includes a cylinder having a cavity for receiving a liquid. A passage is connected to the cavity for inflow and/or outflow of the liquid. The passage can be connected to an injection component. A shut-off valve has a valve body and a flexible sealing ring with an opening. The valve body, proceeding from a release position in which the passage is freed, is at least partially movable through the opening of the sealing ring to a blocking position in which the valve body engages behind the opening so that movement of the valve body to the release position is blocked and the passage is sealed off against proximally directed flow. An adapter body is connected to the cylinder. The shut-off valve is arranged at a proximal end of the adapter body and at a distal end of the cylinder. The device can be used in a syringe.

A drug delivery device is provided for delivering a drug to a target tissue site. The drug delivery device comprises a body comprising a proximal end and a distal end and a chamber disposed therebetween. An upper portion is disposed about the proximal end of the body. A retaining member is disposed within a wall of the body and engageable with the chamber and a plunger is configured for disposal within the upper portion and the chamber. The upper portion is movable about the proximal end of the body to open the chamber such that the plunger is disposed within a passageway defined within the chamber, and movement of the plunger in a distal direction pushes the retaining member such that the drug moves out of the body. Methods are also disclosed.

Caps for integrated fill and inject of safety needle devices
Drug delivery safety devices comprise a safety needle device comprising a needle hub, a needle cannula, and a safety feature; and a cap comprising a cap body having a proximal end attached to the safety needle device and a distal end having an access opening that is in fluid communication with the needle cannula. The safety needle device allow for an integrated device for both filling and injection that do not interfere with passive safety features. The caps may have a fill feature that engages with a safety feature of the safety needle device to keep it in a fill state.

Provided herein is a syringe including a syringe barrel having a barrel proximal end and a barrel distal end and defining a chamber configured for containing a fluid therein. The syringe also includes a plunger axially movable within the chamber of the syringe barrel, the plunger having a plunger proximal end and a plunger distal end. The syringe further includes a stopper secured to the plunger distal end, the stopper axially movable with the plunger within the chamber, with the stopper having an attachment member configured to couple to the plunger distal end and a cup member extending out distally from the attachment member, the cup member having a concave shape.

The device can be used in a syringe.
Caps For Integrated Fill And Inject Of Safety Needle Devices
Drug delivery safety devices comprise a safety needle device comprising a needle hub, a needle cannula, and a safety feature; and a cap comprising a cap body having a proximal end attached to the safety needle device and a distal end having an access opening that is in fluid communication with the needle cannula. The safety needle device allow for an integrated device for both filling and injection that do not interfere with passive safety features. The caps may have a fill feature that engages with a safety feature of the safety needle device to keep it in a fill state.

Disposable syringe and push rod for the same
The present invention provides a disposable syringe and a push rod for use in a disposable syringe. The push rod comprises a proximal end, a distal end and an axis extending through the proximal end and the distal end. The distal end of the push rod is provided with a snap-fitting mechanism and a stop flange located at a proximal side of the snap-fitting mechanism. The stop flange comprises a main body portion formed about an axis of the push rod and a plurality of finger-like portions extending from the main body portion in a direction away from the axis of the push rod. According to the present invention, a smaller push force continues to be applied to the push rod upon completion of the injection, thereby achieving an additional stroke needed when the distal end of the push rod snap-fits with the needle seat and meanwhile lessening the patient's pains.
