NEUROMODULATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
The disclosed systems and methods include a neuromodulation system including at least one neuromodulation device, at least one neuromodulation pattern storage means, and at least one neuromodulation controller. The neuromodulation pattern storage means can store neuromodulation data. The neuromodulation data can specify neurostimulation with at least one of a carrying frequency of at least 1 kHz or multipolar stimulation. The neuromodulation device can provide neuromodulation according to the neuromodulation data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENHANCING LEARNING VIA TRANSCUTANEOUS AURICULAR VAGUS NERVE STIMULATION
Systems and methods for increasing learning via transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation is presented. The disclosure can include positioning a device within a human ear and delivering specifically timed and modulated pulses of electrical energy to the auricular vagus nerve transcutaneously, avoiding invasive procedures commonly associated with vagus nerve stimulation. The present disclosure can enhance reading comprehension, facilitate the learning letter-sound relationships, and provide for increased retention of new languages for a patient, all without surgically implanting a device into a patient.
Neuromodulation device and method for treating metabolic disorders
The invention refers to a device for inhibiting the neural activity of a carotid sinus nerve (CSN) or carotid body of a subject, the device comprising: one or more transducers configured to apply a signal to the CSN or associated carotid body of the subject, optionally at least two such transducers; and a controller coupled to the one or more transducers, the controller controlling the signal to be applied by the one or more transducers, such that the signal inhibits the neural activity of the CSN or carotid body to produce a physiological response in the subject, wherein the physiological response is one or more of the group consisting of: an increase in insulin sensitivity in the subject, an increase in glucose tolerance in the subject, a decrease in (fasting) plasma glucose concentration in the subject, a reduction in subcutaneous fat content in the subject, and a reduction in obesity in the subject.
Soft physiotherapy instrument
A soft physiotherapy instrument includes a flexible sheet and a controller. The flexible sheet includes a first flexible layer, a second flexible layer, a plurality of functional layers located between the first flexible layer and the second flexible layer, and a plurality of electrodes electrically connected with the plurality of functional layers. The functional layer includes a carbon nanotube layer including a plurality of carbon nanotubes uniformly distributed. The flexible sheet is electrically coupled with the controller via the plurality of electrodes.
DETECTION OF KINETOSIS
Treating kenosis may comprise the following steps: measuring the electrodermal activity of a person by means of an EDA sensor; assessing, on the basis of the electrodermal activity measured, whether the person is currently affected by kinetosis; generating electrical pulses at an electrode in contact with the person's skin in order to treat the kinetosis on the basis of the assessment as to whether the person is currently affected by kinetosis. The sensor and the electrode may be integrated in a device that can be worn on the person's body.
SKIN CARE DEVICE
A skin care device can include a body including a battery and a grip electrode electrically connected to the battery, and a head connected to one end of the body. The head includes a contact electrode electrically connected to the battery and configured to come in contact with a skin of a user, and at least one ultraviolet light source disposed inside the head to face the contact electrode. Further, the contact electrode includes a fastening part fastened to the head and having at least one hole formed therein to correspond to the at least one ultraviolet light source, and a plurality of contact protrusions protruding from a top surface of the fastening part.
APPARATUS AND METHOD OF TREATING AN APPROACHING PHYSIOLOGICAL EVENT AND INCREASING AN INTENSITY OF THE EVENT
A flexible neuromodulation device and method capable of varying a neuromodulation therapy in order to prevent, delay, or control a sexual emission, and/or increasing an intensity of a sexual climax.
CURRENT BIAS AS A CONTROL MECHANISM FOR ELECTRODE OPERATION
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for electrically modulating tissue. Systems can include a current generator; at least one implantable working electrode, the at least one implantable working electrode configured to be in electrical communication with the current generator; at least one indifferent electrode; and a controller configured to signal the current generator to: generate a set of currents with a set of initial polarities to be delivered to the working electrodes; and wherein the at least one indifferent electrode absorbs a bias current which is equal in magnitude and opposite in polarity to a summation of the set of currents.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR STIMULATING SKIN CELLS USING A MICROCURRENT
A device for electrically stimulating skin, in particular for stimulating the activity of fibroblasts, including an electronic circuit for generating a sawtooth biphasic or cyclic alternating electric current; at least two electrodes connected to the electronic circuit, which are configured so as to be applied to the skin in order to allow the electric current generated to pass therethrough.
ABSORPTION ENHANCING WEARABLE DEVICE
Provided are mechanisms and processes for enhancing absorption of therapeutic agents into the skin. Therapeutic agents may include lotions, creams, ointments, and solutions. Electrodes are used to apply a voltage to create an electric field to enhance penetration of the agent through the epidermal layer of the skin. The voltage applied may vary between 5V and 36V depending on the skin type or type of substance. The electrodes may be integrated into a wearable device such as a glove, sleeve, mask, bandage, etc.
