ORAL APPLIANCE
A sheet-shaped oral appliance is provided that is detachably attached to an oral body device and includes a functional portion with a sensor unit that acquires information in an oral cavity and an energy irradiation unit that radiates energy into the oral cavity, an electrical connection portion, and a wiring portion that connects at least one of the sensor unit and the energy irradiation unit to the electrical connection portion. The functional portion, the connection portion, and the wiring portion are formed by a wiring layer having first and second main surfaces that oppose each other, a first insulating layer arranged on the first main surface and a second insulating layer arranged on the second main surface. Moreover, in the functional portion, a thickness of the first insulating layer is smaller than a thickness of the second insulating layer.
ILLUMINATION DEVICES AND RELATED METHODS FOR PHOTOTHERAPEUTIC LIGHT TREATMENTS IN THE PRESENCE OF VITAMINS
Devices and related methods for impinging light on tissue to induce one or more biological effects, and more particularly illumination devices and related methods for phototherapeutic light treatments in the presence of vitamins are disclosed. Biological effects may include at least one of inactivating and inhibiting growth of one or more combinations of microorganisms and pathogens, including but not limited to viruses. Phototherapeutic light treatments in the presence of vitamins may involve providing one or more vitamins in the form of a coating or film on a surface of a target tissue and irradiating the target tissue with light. By performing the phototherapeutic light treatment in the presence of vitamins, efficacy of the light treatment may be improved, thereby reducing viral loads and/or reducing doses of light received by the target tissue.
METHODS AND DEVICES TO TREAT NASAL AIRWAYS
Methods and devices for treating nasal airways are provided. Such devices and methods may improve airflow through an internal and/or external nasal valve, and comprise the use of mechanical re-shaping, energy application and other treatments to modify the shape, structure, and/or air flow characteristics of an internal nasal valve, an external nasal valve or other nasal airways.
Ultraviolet radiation treatments
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for enabling ultraviolet radiation treatments are provided.
LIGHT THERAPY DELIVERY DEVICES AND METHODS FOR THE FEMALE GENITALIA AND AREAS PROXIMAL THERETO
The present invention relates to light therapy devices and related methods to treat the female genitalia and areas proximal thereto, including the vaginal cavity and vulvar regions in cisgender females or transgender females who have undergone sex reassignment, in particular for post-surgical indications, vaginal rejuvenation, or other medical conditions suitable for treatment with light therapy. The devices and methods are configured to provide a therapeutic amount of low level light therapy to a patient in need of treatment thereof.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR CLEANING OF A CANAL
A method and an arrangement for the cleaning of a circumferentially closed canal using a light guide conducting a laser beam, with the entry of the laser beam into the light guide being interrupted when the free end of the light guide is outside of the canal and/or the movement of the light guide within the canal is monitored and if there is no movement or the movement is below a first threshold value then a signal is triggered and/or the laser radiation is turned off or its output is reduced. The turning off of the laser radiation or its reducing is controlled in dependency of at least one signal change and/or a second threshold and/or a signal change relative to the second threshold determined during at least one course of time starting before and including the entry of the light guide into the canal.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR THERAPEUTIC GASTROINTESTINAL PHOTOBIOMODULATION
Photobiomodulation can be used to treat disorders of the gastrointestinal system. The photobiomodulation can be delivered by an intraluminal device (which can be within the gastrointestinal system) that includes at least one light delivery device configured to provide photobiomodulation; at least one photodetector device to measure reflectance based on the photobiomodulation; a processor to receive a reflectance signal from the at least one photodetector device based on the reflectance measured by the at least one photodetector device and process the reflectance signal; and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor to transmit at least a portion of the processed reflectance signal. The wireless transceiver can communicate with an external device that includes a wireless transceiver to receive the at least the portion of the processed reflectance signal.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR UNATTENDED TREATMENT OF A PATIENT
An unattended approach can increase the reproducibility and safety of the treatment as the chance of over/under treating of a certain area is significantly decreased. On the other hand, unattended treatment of uneven or rugged areas can be challenging in terms of maintaining proper distance or contact with the treated tissue, mostly on areas which tend to differ from patient to patient (e.g. facial area). Delivering energy via a system of active elements embedded in a flexible pad adhesively attached to the skin offers a possible solution. The unattended approach may include delivering of multiple energies to enhance a visual appearance.
TREATMENT APPARATUS AND TREATMENT METHOD
A treatment apparatus and a treatment method capable of effectively treating cancer including a cervix. The treatment apparatus includes: a main shaft including a distal portion and a proximal portion; an inflation portion disposed on a distal side of the main shaft and configured to be inflated by inflowing a fluid; a distal shaft protruding from the inflation portion toward the distal side; and at least one irradiation unit configured to emit excitation light of an antibody-photosensitive substance from the distal shaft and the inflation portion.
Device for photodynamic treatment
A catheter device for use in the photodynamic treatment of a body cavity or hollow organ of the body, such as the bladder, the device being used in the photodynamic treatment of abnormalities, disorders or diseases of the internal surfaces of said body cavity or hollow organ.
