Firefighter rescue system
A firefighter rescue system includes a pair of clasp members connected to opposing ends of a longitudinally extended and flexible harness. The system further includes a pair of handles respectively secured to the harness in longitudinally spaced relationship. The flexible harness includes first and second strap members. The first strap member is coupled to one of the pair of clasp members on one end thereof, and affixed on an opposing end to a length adjusting mechanism. The second strap member has a first end thereof coupled to the other of the pair of clasp members and an opposing second end threaded through length adjusting mechanism. By that arrangement, a distance between the first end of the second strap member and the length adjusting mechanism is adjustably settable.
Suspension trauma relief strap assembly for use with a full body harness
A preferred embodiment suspension trauma relief strap assembly for use with a full body harness includes a pair of straps connectable in two configurations. The first configuration is formed by engaging a hook of one strap with one of a plurality of closed loop arrangements of the other strap to form a sling upon which a person donning the full body harness may stand. The second configuration is formed by engaging the hook of the one strap with one of the plurality of closed loop arrangements of the one strap and engaging the hook of the other strap with one of the plurality of closed loop arrangements of the other strap to form two slings upon which a person donning the full body harness may stand.
FALL ARREST INDICATOR
A fall arrest indicator is disclosed for indicating whether a fall arrest event has occurred, the fall arrest indicator includes an actuator, the actuator being reconfigurable between a first configuration and a second configuration; an electronic alarm circuit comprising an alarm for indicating a fall arrest event; and, activating means, wherein the activating means is arranged to reconfigure the alarm circuit between an inactive state in which the alarm is inactive and an operative state in which the alarm is activated, in dependence of a reconfiguration of the actuator between the first and second configurations.
HARNESS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
A harness for a breathing apparatus includes an interface member (6) having an elongated shape and being configured for receiving a container of breathable gas of the breathing apparatus. A hip belt (2) is connected to the interface member at a first region (50) of the interface member. A first shoulder belt (16) and a second shoulder belt (18) are connected to the interface member at the first region and at a second region (52) of the interface member. The hip belt and/or the first and second shoulder belts comprise at least one first moulded heat resistant plastic material.
Device for carrying articles of equipment
A carabiner for carrying equipment is disclosed. The carabiner includes a hook assembly including a generally C-shaped body having an opening which is closed by an openable gate. It further includes a mounting assembly, which includes a mounting boss to which the body is releasably connected, and one or more fasteners to connect the mounting boss to a base component. The mounting boss may include a bore through which the body passes, the body being a close fit in the bore, such that the body can pivot respect to the boss about an axis of the bore. Control components may be provided that serve to resist movement of the body within the bore. The carabiner may be installed in a harness, by connecting the base to a component of the harness for example by passing a fastener through a hole in the component.
RELIEF APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
Various embodiments are directed to relief apparatuses and methods of using the same. In various embodiments, a relief apparatus may comprise a housing comprising an interior housing portion configured to store a relief step device therein, and an activation assembly configured to facilitate an automated deployment of the relief step device from within the interior housing portion in response to a fall occurrence, wherein the automated deployment of the at least a portion of the relief step device is based at least in part on a load force acting on at least a portion of the activation assembly, wherein the load force is defined at least in part by a force generated as a result of the fall occurrence. In various embodiments, a relief apparatus may comprise an activation assembly that enables both an automated deployment and a manual deployment of a relief step device in a fall condition.
RELIEF APPARATUS FOR MOBILITY AND SUSPENSION MITIGATION
A relief apparatus and method of use for providing a flexible connection point between straps of a harness and mitigating suspension trauma for a user of the harness. In various embodiments, the relief apparatus comprises a base plate comprising one or more base strap slots and a central cavity defined by a cavity wall protruding out of a plane of the base plate, and an upper plate comprising one or more upper strap slots and an aperture configured to fit around the cavity wall of the base plate. The base plate and the upper plate are arrange concentrically along a central axis and may be configured to each rotate about the central axis. The relief apparatus further comprises a relief step comprised of a line and having a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end being secured to a deployment feature.
Work safety management system using safety belt unit for high-place work
The present disclosure relates to a work safety management system using a safety belt unit for high-place work, and safety during working at a high place can be enhanced by determining whether a worker has fastened a seat belt to a safety structure, and the location of the worker, whether the seat belt is fastened and whether the work is on progress can be monitored in real time from a remote location to prevent safety accidents.
Fall-Protection System with Monitoring System
A fall-protection system including a harness and a fall-protection apparatus with a lifeline bearing a connector configured to be connected to the harness; and, a fall-protection monitoring system with a base unit and with at least one sensor module configured to sense a condition of the connector and to communicate a signal indicative of the condition of the connector to the base unit.
Body harness system
A body harness system includes a body harness having a first portion for providing resting position to a user.
