Bendable housing for fall protection locking system

A locking system is provided for fall protection. The locking system includes a housing. The housing defines a guide path through which the housing is slideably attached to a guide member. The locking system also includes a braking lever having a braking end. The braking lever is configured to rotate so as to allow the braking end to engage the guide member. The guide path defines at least one bending slot configured to allow the housing to deform in response to a predetermined amount of force being applied by the guide member upon the housing. A housing for a locking system is also provided.

Tether System for a Safety Line

A tether system for a safety line has an elongate guide track and stay elements arranged to move along the guide track and be carried at spaced positions along the length of a tether line. The system is typically employed in a fall arrest or protection system mounted to a structure, having an ascent/descent ladder fixed to the structure, the system including a self-retracting safety line device including a safety line, mounted at height.

SAFETY CLIMB ATTENUATION APPARATUS

A safety climb attenuation apparatus provides a more robust and visually inspectable apparatus for climbing safety. In an upper bracket, a pivot arm is attached to a base that is disposed upon a structure. The upper bracket includes an attenuation member such as an elastic bushing, mounted on the pivot arm or the base, that resists pivoting of the pivot arm relative to the base when a safety cable attached to the pivot arm causes the pivot arm to pivot. In a lower bracket, a similar attenuation member is attached to a base disposed on the structure, with an anchor bolt connecting the cable to the attenuation member so that the attenuation member resists upward movement of the cable.

ROPE LOCKING APPARATUS

A rope locking apparatus, comprising: a locking member (11) adapted to switching between a locked state and an unlocked state with a rope (100); a roller (22) adapted to being pressed against the surface of the rope (100) under the action of a pressing member; a rotating shaft (25) adapted to rotating along with the roller (22); a centrifugal member, which is mounted on the rotating shaft (25) and rotates along with the rotating shaft (25), wherein the centrifugal member switches between a centrifugal state and a reset state along with change in a centrifugal force; and a driving member, wherein the centrifugal member in the centrifugal state drives the driving member to move, so that the locking member (11) moves until same is in the locked state; and the centrifugal member in the reset state is separated from the driving member, so that the locking member (11) is in the unlocked state.

Fall protection locking system

A locking system for fall protection and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. An example locking system includes a housing. The housing defines a guide path through which the housing is slideably attached to a guide member. The locking system also includes a braking lever having a braking end that is configured to engage the guide member. The braking lever includes a shock absorber configured to deform during a fall instance. The locking system further includes a secondary braking feature configured independent from the braking lever. The secondary braking feature is an inertial structure configured to rotate into engagement with the guide member during the fall instance. A corresponding method of manufacturing is also provided.

Method and device for securing a vertical line

An anchor is provided for securing a strand from a wall aperture having a maximum height dimension and a maximum width dimension greater than the maximum height dimension. The anchor has an anchor body member having a first wall engagement surface on a lateral side there-of and a strand-securing aperture. A first hook member is attached to the anchor body member, extends laterally therefrom, and has a second wall engagement surface that intersects and is perpendicular to the first wall engagement surface. A second hook member attached to the first hook member has a longitudinal hook length and a third wall engagement surface parallel to, spaced apart from and opposing the first wall engagement surface. The first and third engagement surfaces define a slot with a width greater than the wall thickness. The longitudinal hook length is less than the maximum aperture width and greater than the maximum aperture height.

Rooftop Rigging Support System

In at least one embodiment, a rooftop rigging support system mounts to a roof a building for suspending a load under an eave of the building. In some embodiments, the rooftop rigging support system comprises an arm that extends outward over the eave and then back inward underneath the eave. In some embodiments, the arm is a generally rigid, non-articulating structure. In some embodiments, the arm can be manually pivoted between a deployed position reaching under the eave and a withdrawn position extending above the roof.

A ladder dock system can include a ladder dock including a mounting panel and a connecting panel connected to the mounting panel, the ladder dock defining a ladder notch. The ladder dock system can further include a ladder configured to provide access to an elevated structure and sized to rest against the ladder dock, the ladder notch sized to receive and fix a position of the ladder relative to the ladder dock.

FALL RESTRAINT SYSTEM

The present system for fall restraint includes a mounting frame connected to a trigger mechanism and firing blocks, with a trigger cable extending through apertures in the mounting frame and trigger mechanism. Sudden movement by a user, such as a fall, actuates the trigger mechanism to trigger the firing blocks. The firing blocks are loaded with anchors and firing cartridges. Triggering the firing blocks causes the cartridges to fire, propelling the anchors into an anchoring surface, such as a roof. Because the user is connected to the trigger cable, once the anchors deploy the user is anchored to the roof and their fall arrested.
