Inflatable fire barrier
A fire barrier includes an inflatable base deployable from an empty state to a fully inflated state and a first row of panels including a plurality of first panels disposed on the inflatable base. The base supports the plurality of first panels in an upright state when the inflatable base is in the fully inflated state, thereby forming a wall having a front side and a rear side opposing the front side. Each of the plurality of panels is independently elastically bendable with respect to the inflatable base. A coating of an infrared reflective material is disposed on each of the plurality of panels on the front side of the wall.
Fire protection element
A fire protection element for sealing a combustible body which penetrates an opening in a wall or ceiling, in the event of a fire, contains a fire protection insert and a heat-activatable drive for the fire protection insert, wherein the fire protection insert is in an initial position within the wall or ceiling and, in the event of a fire, is moved into a use position in which the fire protection insert is at least partially outside the wall or ceiling.
Fire and smoke actuator with temperature-dependent operating speed
A fire and smoke actuator includes a temperature sensor for sensing an operating temperature of the fire and smoke actuator, a drive motor, an actuator output for coupling to the damper in order to move the damper between the open position and the closed position and a drivetrain that is operably coupled between the drive motor and the actuator output. The drive motor, when activated, is configured to actuate the actuator output, via the drivetrain, to move the damper between the open position and the closed position. A drive circuit is operably coupled to the drive motor and the temperature sensor and is configured to activate the drive motor to move the damper between the open position and the closed position at a non-zero speed that is based, at least in part, on the operating temperature sensed by the temperature sensor.
Fire protection element
A fire protection element for sealing a combustible body, which penetrates an opening in a wall or ceiling, in the event of a fire, contains a fire protection insert and a movement device which acts on the fire protection insert, the fire protection insert being arranged so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction of the opening.

Suppressing a fire condition in a cargo container
Various concepts are provided for suppressing a fire condition in an aircraft. In one embodiment, the presence of a fire condition in an aircraft is detected. After such a detection, extinguishing agents can be dispensed and/or certain areas of the aircraft can be depressurized.
Roller door system
A roller door system (100) particularly for opening and closing a doorway (120) defined in the wall of a lightweight structure (110) such as a marquee, hangar, field hospital, emergency shelter and the like. The door system comprises a rollable door (150) secured, in use, along one edge of the doorway (152); a roller (140) for rolling and unrolling the rollable door about the roller; an opening mechanism and a closing mechanism for controlling the deployment of the rollable door by translating the roller across the doorway; and reusable sealing means (135, 136, 155, 156) for sealing between the lateral margins of the rollable door and the doorway; characterized in that the rollable door comprises a plurality of collapsible hoses (165, 166) connected to a pressurized fluid power system (160, 161, 163) such that in use a positive pressure applied to the fluid power system causes the rollable door to unroll from the roller and controls the deployment of the rollable door.
