A training bat assembly for improving a user's swing of a baseball bat is provided. In one embodiment, the assembly includes a bat portion and a plug or cap portion, where the plug or cap portion is configured to mate with a distal end of the bat portion. For example, the bat may include a circular opening, and the plug may include a circular rod that is configured to fit within the opening. Alternatively, a cap with a circular opening can be used, where the cap is configured to fit over a distal end of the bat. By mating the plug or cap with the bat, and swinging the bat from a first position to a second position, the plug or cap is propelled from the bat, where the resulting location of the plug or cap can be used to determine the correctness of the user's swing was.

GOLF SWING TRAINER

A golf swing trainer apparatus for straightening or otherwise improving a golf swing. The golf swing trainer may include a rod, a handle connected on one end of the rod, a bulb disposed on the other end of the rod, and a magnetic base positioned in the middle of the rod. An impact sliding block may be constrained to move on the rod between the bulb and the magnetic base, and may be held in a rest position by the magnetic base. When the user makes a stroke with the trainer apparatus, the impact sliding block may be forced downward from the magnetic base and may impact the bulb, making a sound to provide the user with feedback about their golf swing.

An exercise device for a person exercising on a support surface includes an elongated bar having two opposed ends. A weight has an aperture therethrough and slides along the bar. At least two rigid weight stops are fixed with the bar at selected locations along the bar, the weight free to slide along the bar therebetween. An end caps may be fixed to each end of the cylindrical bar to capture the weight and any weight stops on the cylindrical bar. In use, with the weight slidably captured on the bar, and at least two of the weight stops fixed with the bar on opposing sides of the weight, the person exercises by moving the bar to slide the weight between the at least two weight stops, or by rolling the weight along the support surface while holding on the cylindrical bar in a sit-up style position.

An athletic swing trainer permits an athlete to swing a trainer at speeds far in excess of the athlete's conventional swing speeds and to confirm to the athlete that the practice swings made with the trainer at these extremely high speeds have been technically properly executed. Armed with this experience, the athlete is then able to swing the athlete's own conventional club, bat or racquet at speeds which, though lower than the athlete's trainer swing speeds, are significantly higher than the athlete's conventional club swing speeds. After six or seven trainer swings, an athlete's swing speed at point of contact of a conventional golf club, bat or racquet with a corresponding ball is typically increased in a range of 5 to 15%.

Athletic swing training device and method

A training device and method for teaching a user the proper execution of various elements of an athletic swing. The swing training device incorporates a sliding member that simulates the impact of striking an object providing audible, visual and tactile feedback to the user pertaining to the proper execution of the swing, and displaces a force capture member a distance proportional to the force generated by the swing, and maintains this position until reset by the user. This allows the swing training device to quantify the force generated by the swing at the critical moment of impact. Further, the swing training device incorporates a movable stop that allows the device to be configured to provide for training methods that focus on the proper execution of specific swing elements, and it provides a means of quickly resetting the device for the execution of subsequent swing, thus maximizing training time.
