Weight plate
A weight plate includes a first section having an annular shape with a passage extending axially through the first section and configured to receive an elongated member therethrough, and a second section having an annular shape and positioned radially outward of the first section, where the second section includes first and second outer surfaces on opposite axial sides of the weight plate with an axial thickness defined between the first and second outer surfaces. The second section has a plurality of recesses each extending axially inward from the first and second outer surfaces at least partially through the axial thickness of the second section.
LOCKING BARBELL PLATE
A weight plate may be provided with an inner face configured for mounting on the outer surface of a bar and a securing mechanism arranged adjacent the inner face for selectively securing and unsecuring the weight plate relative to the bar. The securing mechanism may be capable of being locked in a secured condition with the weight plate secured to the bar and capable of being locked in an unsecured condition with the weight plate unsecured from the bar. A control apparatus for the securing mechanism may be operable to switch the securing mechanism between the secured and unsecured conditions, and may include a trigger operable, with the securing mechanism in the unsecured condition, to switch the securing mechanism to be locked in the secured condition, and a handle operable, with the securing mechanism in the secured condition to switch the securing mechanism to be locked in the unsecured condition.

The second section has a plurality of recesses each extending axially inward from the first and second outer surfaces at least partially through the axial thickness of the second section.
Pliable object wrapping device for activating and exercising muscles and method of activating and exercising
A muscle activating and exercising device and a method of activating and exercising muscles of the human body. The device includes an outer material and at least one flexible inner material. The device is an elongated device that is pliable enough to be wrapped around an object. The device also has an outer surface that creates a frictional fit between the device and the wrapped object. The wrapped object could be, for example, a wrist or ankle on a human limb or a location on a portion of sports equipment (e.g., a lacrosse stick, baseball bat, hockey stick, golf club or tennis racket). The method includes a method of activating muscles using the device. Through such a method, a user can, for example. build muscle strength and/or reduce muscle tremors.
Hand-held exercise weights
A hand-held exercise weight has first and second segments that are integrally interconnected to one another at a juncture in a manner that defines an acute angle between the two segments. The resulting configuration may be described as a j-shaped weight or a check-mark-shaped weight or an asymmetrical V-shaped weight, with an inside corner filleted by a first rounded curve and an outside corner filleted by a relatively larger, second rounded curve. The second segment is configured and arranged to alternatively comfortably overlie a person's forefinger when the first segment is comfortably grasped in a first orientation by all four fingers; comfortably overlie outwardly facing skin extending between a person's thumb and forefinger when the first segment is comfortably grasped in a second orientation by at least the three fingers furthest from the person's thumb; and fit comfortably between a person's forefinger and middle finger when the first segment is comfortably grasped by the three fingers furthest from the person's thumb.
BREATHABLE HEAVYWEIGHT GARMENTS FOR PHYSICAL CONDITIONING
In some embodiments, a heavyweight jacket includes a main body configured to fit on the torso of a wearer and sleeves that are fully detached from the main body. The sleeves advantageously facilitate putting on the heavy jacket, while providing a jacket of high weight. To form the heavyweight jacket, a pre-bonded fabric may be used. The fabric is pre-bonded and may optionally be further layered to increase the garment's weight without sacrificing flexibility or breathability. The layered fabric distributes the garment's weight evenly and ensures that the garment does not excessively restrict a wearer's freedom of movement or cause the wearer to overheat. The weight of the fabric may be increased by using a heavyweight glue to bond various layers of material together.
METHODS FOR IMPROVING ONE OR MORE ASPECTS OF HEALTHFULNESS IN A SUBJECT BY APPLYING AND CONTINUOUSLY WEARING CORE WEIGHTS
The present disclosure relates to methods for improving healthfulness, e.g., improving cardiovascular health, stimulating weight loss, and/or increasing muscle size/tone in animal subjects, including human subjects. In one aspect, the method comprises applying a core weight to each of the front and/or rear limbs of an animal subject at substantially the same distance from the torso so as to be substantially symmetrically placed, and such that each core weight lies within the distal ⅔ of the limbs; and wearing the core weights continuously for 6-20 hours per day for at least 2 days per week for at least 2 consecutive weeks. In certain embodiments, each of said core weights has substantially the same mass which is 0.2-1.0% of the total body weight of the animal subject, and each of said core weights spans less than ¼ of the total length of the limb to which it is applied.
Weighted Bag
A weighted bag having an outer shell and a handle assembly. The outer shell has a plurality of panels and at least one of one of a pair of slots and a first end loop assembly and a second end loop assembly spaced apart from the first end loop assembly coupled to the plurality of panels. The handle assembly has a handle grasping member and a strapping assembly, the strapping assembly extending from the handle grasping member and interfacing with at least one of the pair of slots and the first and second end loop assemblies so as to couple the handle assembly to the outer shell.
Leg Exercise Weighted Shoe Assembly
Disclosed are weighted shoe assemblies that allows easy selection of different weights and the ability to accommodate a variety of foot or shoe sizes. This greatly reduces the cost of providing all sizes and shapes of individually fitted shoes. More specifically disclosed are weighted shoe assemblies having an upper attachment component to attach to a user's foot or shoe and a removable weight components to allow selection of desired weights and means to removably attach the components together.
Easy to assemble/disassemble adjustable monetary coin-weighted dumbbell
This invention is an easily assembled and disassembled exercise dumbbell that derives the majority of its adjustable weight from the addition of monetary coins. The number of coins used determines the weight of the dumbbell, thereby making possible very small incremental increases in the dumbbell's effective total weight. The weight of the dumbbell's handle assembly can be multiplied up to nine times in its heaviest dumbbell configuration. Additional weight may be achieved with the use of small metal slugs. Due to the use of a specialized screw head, the dumbbell can be assembled and disassembled with only the use of a coin (no standard screwdriver is necessary). With all coins removed, this dumbbell makes an excellent lightweight travelling companion.
