AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF OPERATING ONE OR MORE AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES FOR THE PACING, PROTECTION, AND WARNING OF ON-ROAD PERSONS

Systems, methods, and computer program products to enhance the situational competency and/or the safe operation of a vehicle, when operating at least partially in an autonomous mode, as a support vehicle for one or more on-road persons engaged in a training or competitive cycling, running, and/or walking activity on a predetermined travel route at a predetermined pace.

Detection of intentional contact between object and body part of player in sport

An electronic device and method for detection of intentional contact between an object and a body part of a player are provided. An electronic device receives a plurality of frames of a video from an imaging device. The electronic device tracks a movement of the object and a movement of the body part across the plurality of frames. The electronic device determines, based on the tracked movement, a frame of interest from the plurality of first frames in which degree of overlap between position coordinates of the object and position coordinates of the body part of the player exceeds an overlap threshold. The electronic device detects a contact between the object and the body part of the player based on the frame of interest. The electronic device applies a machine learning model on the frame of interest and the tracked movement to determine whether the contact is intentional.

AN ORTHOSTATIC HYPOTENSION ALLEVIATION DEVICE

A treadmill has a treadmill frame and a treadmill belt movably mounted on the treadmill frame. An air space exists between the treadmill belt and a support surface on which the treadmill is placed at a rear of the treadmill belt. A disconnect switch is positioned to engage an object entering the air space. The disconnect switch is operatively connected to the treadmill motor so that the treadmill motor automatically shuts off when the disconnect switch is activated.

Flexible members for anchoring to the body

A flexible anchor member comprising a member for placement about a body part; at least one substantially inextensible textile element circumscribing the member and secured to itself or the member; and a force transfer coupler coupling a portion of the at least one substantially inextensible textile element to an actuator such that the substantially inextensible textile element constricts about the member for a duration of an applied force. Another flexible anchor member comprising an outer member including a substantially inextensible textile material configured for directing a force applied by an actuator to act upon all or a portion of the body part; an inner member for positioning between the body part and the outer member, a first surface of the inner member configured for frictionally engaging the body part or intervening clothing; and at least one coupler for coupling the outer member and the inner member.

The disclosure herein provides a golf GPS device with a sensor mechanism to automatically switch between video and audio only modes of the device. More particularly, when a player attaches the golf GPS device to a piece of clothing or hat, the device automatically switches to audio-only mode. When the player detaches the golf GPS device, the device automatically switches to video mode, with or without audio. The golf GPS device further includes one or more processors configured to repeatedly determine in which one of the plurality of holes the device is located, to repeatedly compute a distance between the device and a feature of the determined hole, and to cause to display the hole number of the determined hole and the computed distance on the display screen.

A basketball shooting apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a backboard and rim assembly having a backboard positioned in parallel with ground and ceiling and a rim member attached in perpendicular to the backboard. The apparatus further comprises an assistive learning system (ALS), a frame, and a motion tracking system. The ALS is attached to the backboard to perform score-keeping, intelligent instruction providing, and mode changing during shooting practice. The frame comprises a net attached at its peripheral ends to support the backboard and rim assembly and ALS. The motion tracking system comprises one or more tracking devices positioned on and/or around a user capable of capturing, inferring, or allowing the inference of three-dimensional motion from the user's arms, hands and wrists. The ALS provides visual feedback regarding the user's shooting form via a visual display, thereby training the user at their learning phase of developing proper shooting techniques.
