Measuring device / sensor system for measuring, transferring and processing of relevant performance data from training and competition in contact sports, in particular the physical contact and its force effect
In practice and as far as possible, performance data in contact sports, in particular those of factual contact and force effect of relevant objects and persons to each other, are not surveyed separately but evaluated subjectively. In contact sports like martial arts this is especially critical, because an occurred contact and its force effect are the significant success data in these sports. In other types of contact sports, e.g. ball sports one is concentrated on the performance data, that lead to goal achievement (e.g. goal scoring) and is not looking objectively into the performance of participants for, for example, draw conclusions about the correct technique execution at any time in a game or competition. Though there are already measuring devices for some contact sports for detecting force effect and contact, these are limited to several defined single sensors and applications. Therefore it may be possible to make objective measurement but in case of doubt, a subjective evaluation of technique and point assignment is still necessary. This invention contains a system of measuring devices, that can, especially in martial arts sports, improve the point assignment and in other contact sports the evaluation of techniques. These special measuring devices for contact measuring and its movement and acceleration sensors, display systems and hardware interfaces can be combined with software interfaces and be tailored to fit different applications. In case of martial arts sports, the configuration of protective equipment with these measuring devices is one use case, in which the measuring devices detect all relevant data like contact, force effect and movement direction, that can be used for competition decisions.
COMBAT TRAINING EQUIPMENT
A combat training equipment relates to the technical field of combat training equipment. The existing combat training equipment is not equipped with active attack function, which is not conducive to the trainers to improve their combat level; the new combat training equipment drives the motor to cooperate with the angle box, angle motor, oscillating piece and hanging ball, so as to oscillate at a certain angle. Driven by the angle motor, the oscillating piece can simulate a human arm attacking in the upper, middle, and lower positions. With the help of hanging ball, the trainers can carry out body movement training to improve the reaction capability. The striking mechanism, lamps and speakers on the striking post enable trainers to evade attacks with good coordination. After the trainers make an effective attack, the speakers and lights will give positive feedback respectively, so that the trainers can gradually improve their own strength.
Boxing chin, boxing and martial arts training accessory
A boxing training accessory comprises a hand held punching pad with an image of a human face that has a small boxing bag hanging from a lower part of it, representing a human chin/jaw. The accessory provides a more specific target for a user to practice striking techniques and striking combinations while also providing a more realistic look and feel. The training accessory is useful across a range of combat sports including boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, karate, taekwondo, MMA and others.
Posable training aid
A lightweight training aid is disclosed including selectively positioned posable appendages for use in various training exercises. The training aid may be formed of one or more separable and distinct portions including a head module, a torso module and a leg module, and combinations thereof. The head module and/or leg module may be releasably coupled to the torso module by interchangeable mounting arrangements. Appendages of the training aid may be posable, at least within a set range of motion, within any of a potentially infinite number of orientations. Methods of using such a training aid also are disclosed.
MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING DEVICE WITH SCORING SYSTEM
A martial arts training device with scoring system, device comprising a padded device designed to be struck by a participant; and a scoring system attached to padded device, scoring system comprising: an impedance-based impact sensing mechanism that detects a source of impact comprising at least one impedance changing mechanism that changes impedance as each of conductive material is moved towards and away from impedance changing mechanism as the first participant delivers the impact; an impact sensing mechanism for which mechanically detects the force of impact creating electrical charges; at least one impedance-based impact measuring scoring system determining the source of the impact that occurred based on a change in impedance electromagnetically in said impedance changing mechanism; and at least one impedance changing rate determination engine configured to determine a rate at which the impedance changes in impedance changing mechanism; and at least one impact force determination engine configured to determine a magnitude of a force of the impact based on the rate at which the impedance changes in impedance changing mechanism and the impedance changing a rate data.
Performance evaluation equipment, systems and related methods
This disclosure relates to using a hand held target (e.g. tae kwon do paddle) as a tool for providing physical performance instructions according to a digital workout performance template loaded in advance.
WHOLE BODY-SHAPED STRIKING DUMMY INCLUDING JOINTS
Proposed is a whole body-shaped striking dummy including joints. In the whole body-shaped striking dummy, a human-sized manikin is realized using elastic joints including an elastic neck joint, an elastic waist joint, and elastic thigh joints. The manikin is configured to be supported on a floor using a rear support pivotably provided on the rear end of the manikin. The elastic joints of the manikin have reliable ranges of elastic movement in front-rear and right-left directions. Accordingly, the whole body-shaped striking dummy is used in martial arts training, such as Taekwondo, in the same manner as a real human body, thereby improving the efficiency of striking training.
PUNCH BAG SUPPORT ASSEMBLY
A punch bag support assembly includes a mounting unit, a first elongate arm pivotally connected at a first end to the mounting unit and a second elongate arm pivotally connected at a first end to the second end of the first elongate arm. A mounting device for a punch bag is arranged adjacent the second end of the second elongate arm. The connection between the mounting unit and the first elongate arm or the connection between the first elongate arm and the second elongate arm, or both connections, is provided with a spring mechanism.
Headpiece with Adjustable Elastic Cord and Ball
A headpiece apparatus comprising of a headband member having a frontal holster, a removable 3D printed component secured to said frontal holster of said headband, and an elastic cord with one end anchored within a ball and the other end entering through said 3D printed component, circumventing said headband before and finally exiting out the said 3D printed component. The said 3D printed component which was created with thermoplastic elastomer, holsters a barrel lock which enables the user to freely change the length of the elastic cord to their preference.
VIRTUAL TRAINER ON MOBILE/IOT DEVICES
A virtual training system and method are disclose. The system includes two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) image sensors, a biometric data sensor, a processor, and an output device. The 2D image sensor senses a 2D image of a user, and the 3D image sensor senses a 3D image of the user including a movement of the user. The biometric data sensor senses at least one biometric characteristic of the user. The processor generates feedback information in real time during a session relating to movement of the user compared to a standard form movement, which may be an exercise movement, a dance movement, a martial arts movement, or a physical therapy movement. Feedback is provided by the output device as an image of the user captured by at least one of the 2D image sensor and the 3D image sensor overlayed on an instructor avatar, which illustrates the standard form movement.
