A swing training device for improving the proper swing of ball sports including but not limited to baseball and softball. The swing training device has an elongated barrel having a substantially quasi-stadium cross-sectional shape connected to a handle portion. The hitting surface of the barrel is one of the two opposing curved surfaces of the circular segments of the quasi-stadium cross-sectional shape. The swing training device may be a modified regulation wood bat that is modified via diametrically opposing longitudinal tangential section cuts so that the un-cut curved hitting surface is oriented such that the grain runs against the ball at contact.

A kinetic motion learning device includes an information storage unit configured to associate and store in advance a pitching motion video and pitching trajectory information for a plurality of pitches actually delivered by a pitcher on a potential opponent team, and is configured to read a set of the pitching motion video and the pitching trajectory information stored in the information storage unit, output the pitching motion video being read to a projector, output the pitching trajectory information being read to a pitching machine, and control motion timings of the projector and the pitching machine so that a time of ball release of the pitcher in the pitching motion video displayed on a screen and a time of the pitching machine launching the ball with the pitching trajectory information match. The projector is configured to project the pitching motion video onto the screen so that the pitching motion video is displayed on the screen at a motion timing controlled by the kinetic motion learning device. The screen includes a hole through which a ball launched by the pitching machine can pass at a position of ball release of the pitcher in the pitching motion video displayed.

A training apparatus for baseball training includes a base and training attachments that may be attached to the base to allow a user to practice a variety of training techniques. The base may be modular so that it has an adjustable width and disassembles into separate components. At least one training attachment is designed to train a batter to properly incorporate thrust into a swinging motion when swinging a baseball bat. The attachment has a pivotally mounted member with a contact element attached to the top end of the member. The member pivots forward and downward when the user's knee contacts the contact element when properly executing a swinging motion. Thus, the training attachment provides direct and immediate feedback to the user regarding the user's batting form. Other training attachments may be used for hitting balls and for pitching to targets strategically placed around a strike zone.

An example ball glove ball catch system includes a ball glove and a ball catch. The ball glove may comprise webbing and a hand opening. The ball catch may be located between the hand opening and the webbing.

A ball assembly for a swing trainer that withstands repeated hits with forces applied by professional athletes. The ball assembly comprises a ball, a wire rope, a ball stud swaged to one end of the wire rope and a connector sleeve swaged to the other end of the wire rope. A whole is drilled through the exact center of the ball and wire threaded therethrough. After the ball stud and connector sleeves are swaged to the ends of the wire rope, the ball stud is pressed into the hole in the ball. The wire rope may be coated to extend life.

An underwater training apparatus is disclosed. The underwater training apparatus may include a barrel. The barrel may contain a plurality of holes disposed across the barrel. Each of the holes of the barrel may pass through a wall of the barrel. The underwater training apparatus may also include a base funnel. An apparatus for teaching baseball pitching includes a substantially flat panel having a substantially rectangular shape with adjustable height and width dimensions. The apparatus further includes at least two support members for supporting the flat panel in an upright position. The length of the support members can be adjusted to obtain a desired distance between a bottom edge of the flat panel and the ground.

A weighted batting sleeve or apparatus includes an elastic ring manually stretchable to be received about a barrel portion of a bat and to impart an elastic force against the barrel portion. The apparatus further includes a tubular fabric sleeve extending over an outer surface of the elastic ring and a fabric casing coupled to the tubular fabric sleeve and enclosing the elastic ring. The apparatus may be passed over a knob of the bat and slid up the bat to a position with the elastic ring near the end of the bat. The tubular fabric sleeve may extend over a hitting area of the bat but does not obstruct the hitting area. Accordingly, the apparatus is useful for practice swings and for hitting drills, where positioning the elastic ring near the end of the bat puts the weight in position to promote proper hitting mechanics.

The present invention relates generally to a bat hanger device comprised of a base plate with at least two curved protruding arms that secure a baseball bat vertically in the air. The base plate of the device also has at least one continuous opening that can be received by at least one clip, that allows the device to be secured to a chain-link fence. One embodiment of the device may also comprise at least one magnet in the base plate, which further aids in securing a baseball bat on the device. Accordingly, the device retains a baseball bat in a position above a ground surface and away from the fence to which the device is attached.
