Basketball training system

A basketball training system includes a user interface and a ball delivery machine. The user interface presents a visual representation of a portion of a basketball court that is free of indicia representing predetermined ball delivery locations on the basketball court. The user interface receives user inputs relative to the visual representation that identify selected ball delivery locations desired by the user. The ball delivery machine is responsive to the user interface for delivering basketballs to the selected ball delivery locations.

Basketball launching device with off of the dribble statistic tracking

Systems and methods for tracking off of the dribble shooting statistics are provided. An ejector launches basketballs to a user selected subset of pass receipt locations spaced apart about a basketball playing area. A controller receives data from an interface representing the user selected subset of the pass receipt locations and certain of the pass receipt locations in the subset where the player intends to perform a pre-shooting basketball move immediately before receiving the pass or making the shooting attempt and commands the ejector to launch at least one basketball to each of the pass receipt locations in the subset. Data is received from a detector indicating made basketball shots, and a performance report is generated with feedback for each of the pass receipt locations in the subset with a qualifier associated with at least some of the feedback indicating off of the dribble shooting.

A basketball shooting apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a backboard and rim assembly having a backboard positioned in parallel with ground and ceiling and a rim member attached in perpendicular to the backboard. The apparatus further comprises an assistive learning system (ALS), a frame, and a motion tracking system. The ALS is attached to the backboard to perform score-keeping, intelligent instruction providing, and mode changing during shooting practice. The frame comprises a net attached at its peripheral ends to support the backboard and rim assembly and ALS. The motion tracking system comprises one or more tracking devices positioned on and/or around a user capable of capturing, inferring, or allowing the inference of three-dimensional motion from the user's arms, hands and wrists. The ALS provides visual feedback regarding the user's shooting form via a visual display, thereby training the user at their learning phase of developing proper shooting techniques.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR FACILITATING INTERACTIVE TRAINING OF BODY-EYE COORDINATION AND REACTION TIME
20230225635 · 2023-07-20 ·

A computer implemented method for facilitating training of body-eye coordination using a computing device having access to a camera is disclosed. The method includes receiving a training video of a player from the camera; superimposing a visual cue onto the training video; extracting a body posture flow of the player from the training video by performing a computer vision algorithm on one or more frames of the training video; determining whether the player has responded to the visual cue by analyzing the body posture flow of the player; and generating a feedback to the player in response to determining that the player has responded to the visual cue. Multi-player embodiments of the present invention are also disclosed.

Augmented audio conditioning system

Techniques for implementing an augmented audio conditioning (AAC) system are described herein. In some examples, the AAC system can store conditioning data comprising crowd noise experiences associated with context-relevant environments and/or actions associated with an activity. The AAC system can detect an action of a user who is training in a conditioning environment and determine that the action is associated with the activity. In some examples, the AAC system can also determine an association between the action of the user and audio data representing a crowd noise experience of a context-relevant environment during an event. Furthermore, the AAC system can, in response to detecting the action of the user, output the audio-conditioning data into the conditioning environment to simulate the crowd noise experience of the context-relevant environment during the event.
