A volleyball training apparatus has a laterally extending arm supported on a riser. A resilient member such as a spring is operably connected within the arm. The resilient member is connected to a flexible connector, such as a cable, that is connected to a volleyball. A series of spacers retains the volleyball away from the rigid arm. The height of the arm may be adjustable to locate the volleyball at a desired height. After a user strikes the volleyball, the volleyball is displaced from its original static position, but quickly is snapped back into the static position by the resilient member pulling the volleyball toward the arm against the spacers.

Tennis Trainer Apparatus

A tennis trainer apparatus has a base, a center tube, and an upper structure. The base of the tennis trainer apparatus has a plurality of evenly distributed legs which may have wheels attached for ease of positioning the apparatus in various positions on a tennis court. The center tube is easily adjustable by placing a pin in holes at varying heights. The upper structure has a left arm and a right arm, and each arm has a holding rod attached. A ball with a ball loop is removably attached to the holding rods so that when the ball is struck it can easily travel like a regular tennis ball. The ball loop is attached to the ball through use of a small rod which is inserted into the tennis ball. Ball extenders with at least one and preferably two holding rods attached are used to raise and lower the height of the ball and ball loop, to create any shot in tennis, including a serve. A tennis trainer apparatus can be easily adapted to additional sports.

This disclosure relates to a game apparatus including a housing, a motion measurement arrangement and a flexible tether. The motion measurement arrangement is at least partially located within the housing and includes a multi-axis pivot member movable relative to the housing in at least two axes. The motion measurement arrangement also includes a sensor arrangement for measuring multi-axis movement of the pivot member. The flexible tether has a free end coupled to a strikable object and a proximal end coupled to the pivot member. The motion measurement arrangement is configured to measure an indication of one or more parameters of the strikable object's motion upon striking of the strikable object by a user.

A sports training-device (100) comprising: a base (102); a retainer (104) for retaining a ball (106); and a flexible tether (108), a first end of the flexible tether attached to said base, and a second end of the flexible tether attached to said retainer; said flexible tether configured to, in use, provide damped movement of a ball retained in said retainer, following application of a force to said ball.

Wobbly ball
09795838 · 2017-10-24 ·

The present invention relates to wobbly balls and exercise coil springs. A wobbly ball may include a non-spherical rigid, hollow ball body formed of two halves, each half comprising an upper ladle or a lower ladle which are welded together along a central seam therebetween, and defining a hollow cavity therein. A spherical inner ball is captured within the hollow cavity of the hollow ball body of the wobbly ball, so that upon movement of the wobbly ball, the inner ball rolls within the cavity, producing a wobbly, eccentric motion. The exercise coil spring may be formed of a single coiled wire, the coiled spring including a central portion where the coiled wire is coiled to a first diameter that is constant. Opposed flared ends are provided ends of the central portion where the coiled wire is progressively coiled from the first diameter to a second diameter, which is greater.

Multidimensional Manually Operated Batting Practice Apparatus
20170239547 · 2017-08-24 ·

The present invention and method of use enable a batter to practice and increase skills related to following the path and speed of a ball with their eyes, swinging at the right moment in time in relation to ball-speed, making best contact with a moving ball relative to path location, and further developing swinging techniques when qualified instructor is present. The present invention provides a manually operated batting simulation device for simulating various speeds, irregular or three-dimensional travel toward the batter providing a more realistic ball movement, and is engineered to absorb likely practical potential disturbing and uncomfortable vibration and shock-waves generated by the player striking the fast moving ball. The present invention includes at least one rigid portion, at least one flexible portion and at least one ball portion. The present invention is constructed to have the flexible portion between the ball portion and the rigid portion.
