Adjustable hanging assembly for flow generating device
A hanging assembly is disclosed for use with a flow generating device that produces a current in a pool. The hanging assembly includes a back supporting plate coupled to a side supporting plate where a plate angle is formed between the back supporting plate and the side supporting plate. The plate angle is adjustable such that a current angle of the current relative to a sidewall of the pool can be varied based on user preferences.
DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR VIRTUAL PHYSICAL COMPETITIONS
A processing system including at least one processor may obtain at least one video of a first competitor along a competition route in a physical environment, obtain data characterizing at least one condition along the competition route as experienced by the first competitor, present visual data associated with the at least one video to a second competitor via a display device, and control at least one setting of at least one device associated with the second competitor to simulate the at least one condition, wherein the at least one device is distinct from the display device.
Arrangement, device and method for generating a standing wave in still water or swimming facilities
A floating wave generating device for generating a standing wave in a standing water body or water basin includes at least one water acceleration section, at least one wave generation section arranged downstream of the water acceleration section, and at least one pump. The at least one pump is arranged in such a way that with this pump water from the underwater area of the standing water body or water basin can be conveyed to a starting level which is higher than the water level of the standing water body or water basin, in order to generate a water flow directed toward the wave generation section by utilizing gravity. Furthermore, the apparatus is arranged in relation to the standing water body or water basin such that the standing water body or water basin with its water level is part of the wave generation section.
Systems and methods for providing computer displays in aquatic environments
Systems and methods for providing a distortion-free pool-surface display beneath a swimmer. In one embodiment, projectors are positioned below a water level at opposite walls of a pool, and are configured to project images to a display surface at the bottom of the pool beneath a swimmer. A camera is used to view images projected by the projectors and to provide corresponding image data to an image correction platform on a graphics processing unit (GPU). The image correction platform identifies distortions in the images, generates image corrections that counter the identified distortions, and applies the corrections to subsequently projected images. The image correction platform also generates image adjustment that cause overlapping portions of the projected images to match seamlessly. The projected images may provide immersive experiences, coaching/training interfaces or other interactive displays.
Pump unit
A pump unit for a prefabricated swimming pool, the unit having a pump wall panel and a mount connected to or integral with the pump wall panel. There is also a pump located or locatable at the mount. The arrangement is such that when the pump unit is in use the pump is able to drive a current of water through the pump wall panel into a pool sufficient to enable on the spot swimming inside the pool.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF GENERATING WAVE
A wave-forming system includes a channel having a water inlet and a water outlet for directing water from the water inlet and the water outlet. The channel has a side wall and a bottom surface profile that slopes downward toward the water outlet and the side wall. The system also includes a back pressure barrier positioned in the water outlet to introduce a back pressure to the water flow inside the channel to continuously form waves across the channel.
A CARRY TYPE WAVE-MAKING APPARATUS FOR SURFING AND A SURFING TRAINING EQUIPMENT WITH THE SAME
[Problem to be solved]
To provide a wave making apparatus for surfing that can make a so-called tubular curling wave suitable for surfing and in which a breaking portion and about to break portion are arrayed in a line.
[Solution]
The wave making apparatus comprises: a water carrying bucket 110 opened at the front, including a bottom plate and a side surface plate, and capable of holding water in a portion of an inner space thereof; a supporting structure 120 that supports the water carrying bucket 110; and a transmission apparatus 130 that moves the water carrying bucket 110 forward at a predetermined speed. The water carrying bucket 100 supported by submerging the water carrying bucket 110 under waterline of the pool such that the front of the water carrying bucket 110 faces the play area of the pool. The transmission apparatus 130 moves the water carrying bucket 110 forward along a track extending forward the play area with the water carrying bucket 100 kept below the waterline. The water held in the water carrying bucket 100 is carried forward and launched, and thereby an isolation traveling wave suitable for surfing is formed.

A swimming machine comprising a housing adapted to be mounted to an interior wall of a swimming pool. The housing comprising a hydraulic motor connected to an impellor mounted within the housing for producing a current of water in the pool when in use. The swimming machine further comprising a hydraulic pump stored outside the housing operably connected to the hydraulic motor mounted within the housing, an electric motor connected to and powering the hydraulic pump, an inverter drive system connected to, powering and controlling the electric motor. Wherein in use the speed of the current produced is controlled by the inverter drive system.
