MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING DEVICE WITH SCORING SYSTEM
A martial arts training device with scoring system, device comprising a padded device designed to be struck by a participant; and a scoring system attached to padded device, scoring system comprising: an impedance-based impact sensing mechanism that detects a source of impact comprising at least one impedance changing mechanism that changes impedance as each of conductive material is moved towards and away from impedance changing mechanism as the first participant delivers the impact; an impact sensing mechanism for which mechanically detects the force of impact creating electrical charges; at least one impedance-based impact measuring scoring system determining the source of the impact that occurred based on a change in impedance electromagnetically in said impedance changing mechanism; and at least one impedance changing rate determination engine configured to determine a rate at which the impedance changes in impedance changing mechanism; and at least one impact force determination engine configured to determine a magnitude of a force of the impact based on the rate at which the impedance changes in impedance changing mechanism and the impedance changing a rate data.
Method and apparatus for simulating a gaming event
An electronics module in a gaming device includes an inertial measurement unit (“IMU”) for detecting acceleration motion, angular movements, and an optics assembly to optimally calculate a moment of impact and to predict a virtual trajectory of a virtual golf ball or other hypothetical object. The virtual trajectory of the target object may be displayed on a display screen either on the gaming device itself, on a computer, or on a television display. A haptics member, such as a vibration or sound element is positioned in the shaft housing and actuated to simulate a ball impact when the shaft housing is indicative of a swing.
Multi-bladed axe
A multi-purpose weapon comprising a handle, an axe blade, and a straight knife blade. The axe blade includes a chopping surface, and two curved surfaces, which, when sharpened, allow the weapon to be used in a similar manner to a kerambit. Thus, in a single weapon, the user can use the straight knife blade, the axe blade, and the one or two curved blades.
MARTIAL ARTS POLEARM POSTURE SENSING DEVICE AND POSTURE SENSING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to a martial arts polearm posture sensing device and the posture sensing method thereof, wherein two sensor units are installed on the polearm neck and the polearm end separately in order to collect sensor signals of the angular acceleration, acceleration or/and geomagnetic field intensity of the polearm neck and the polearm end respectively, and then output the sensor signals to the outside. The signals generated by these two sensor units are received by the computer equipment and converted by the computation and conversion modules, installed in the computer equipment, into signals of the motion posture at a specific time and the overall motion trajectory of the martial arts polearm for output thus to facilitate the analysis and intelligent comparison by the smart sports module. The present invention helps the trainees and the instructors to learn or teach the martial arts polearm postures and makes the exercise and training easier while discovering the most suitable techniques and moves of the martial arts polearm.
Specifically adjusted workings nunchaku assembly method
A manner of manufacturing a modernized nunchuck using specifically adjusted workings or saw process construction methods, facilitating a better fit and functions for the nunchuck, while increasing levels of safety and precision operations for users. The nunchuck includes a first and second grip handle, having a top and bottom end. The top ends machined with a quarter rounded edge to minimize resistance against movement. A single cord configuration includes a flexible coupling having alike end accommodated and fixed in place by a coupling anchor and anchor support at top end of first and second grip handles. Anchor support also functions as a handle grip guide assisting precise and consistent hand placement during use of the saw nunchuck. Each bottom end comprises an optical stripe, providing a variety of light reflections for improved ocular functions and visual effects enhancing user performance.
Practice sword
A practice sword for practicing martial arts includes a sword hilt body, a blade portion, and a guard portion that separates the sword hilt body and the blade portion. The practice sword is configured such that the sword hilt body and the blade portion have a vinyl chloride pipe as a common core. The blade portion is formed by surrounding the outer surface of the common core vinyl chloride pipe with styrene foam, arranging an elastic cushioning material on a distal surface thereof, and accommodating the styrene foam and the vinyl chloride pipe in a thin and long thick cloth bag. The sword hilt body is formed by abutting top and bottom rod-like pieces of wood against the top and bottom peripheral surfaces of the common core and winding a string around the surfaces of the top and bottom rod-like pieces of wood.
PRACTICE SWORD
Provided is a practice sword which gives the feel of using a real sword by having a form and weight similar to those of a Japanese sword, does not cause injuries by striking during practice or matches, and will not be unusable due to damage and the like. This practice sword for practicing martial arts includes a sword hilt body, a blade portion, and a guard portion that separates the sword hilt body and the blade portion, said practice sword being configured such that the sword hilt body and the blade portion have a vinyl chloride pipe as a common core, the blade portion is formed by surrounding the outer surface of the common core vinyl chloride pipe with styrene foam, arranging elastic cushioning material on a distal surface thereof, and accommodating the styrene foam and the vinyl chloride pipe in a thin and long thick cloth bag, and the sword hilt body is formed by abutting top and bottom rod-like pieces of wood against the top and bottom peripheral surfaces of the common core and winding a string around the common core and the surfaces of the top and bottom rod-like pieces of wood.
Punching bag target suspended from suspension line and moveable along line until impeded by blocker
A punching bag kit includes a suspension line, a target having a fastening mechanism for suspending the target from the suspension line in a manner allowing the target to move along the suspension line, and a blocker positioned on the suspension line at a configurable distance from the target. The blocker is frictionally held in place on the suspension line at the configurable distance. Movement of the target along the suspension line is restricted upon the fastening mechanism of the target impacting the blocker. The blocker is physically larger than the fastening mechanism thus impeding travel of the fastening mechanism along the suspension line past the blocker. The blocker may have holes through which the suspension line passes, and a spring-loaded friction device may be mounted on the suspension line between two holes. The suspension line may travel around a user in plurality of segments suspending one or more targets.
Sports equipment for functional training
Sports equipment comprising a handle and at least one stem made of soft and light material fixed and aligned to the handle. The weight of the handle is considerably greater than that of the stem.
