System for determining a position on a golf course
A system is for determining a position on a golf course. The system has a master unit and at least one slave unit. The master unit and the at least one slave unit are adapted to communicate through a telecommunications network. The master unit comprises a receiver for a satellite navigation system, the receiver being operable at a fixed position on the golf course. The master unit is configured to: obtain a position determined by the receiver; process the displacement between the obtained position and the fixed position; and make the processed displacement available to the at least one slave unit through the telecommunications network. A slave unit then makes use of the processed displacement to improve positions determined by itself.
MODULAR PLANTING MATERIAL FOR NATURAL TURF IN SPORTS FIELD AND ITS MANUFACTURING PROCESS
A modular planting material for natural turf in sports field and its manufacturing process, the material is consist of a far-infrared mineral substrate, a multi-biochar, and a polysaccharide polymer; wherein the far-infrared mineral substrate is composed of SiO2, ZnO, CaO, Al2O3, Fe2O3, K2O, MgO, TiO2, CeO2, La2O3, pulverized fuel ash 1, and raw carbon powder; the multi-biochar is composed of rice husk, oil millet husk, and oil millet stalk; the polysaccharide polymer is composed of polyuronic acid, sodium salt, and cellulose; The present invention let 75˜85% far-infrared mineral substrate, 10-20% multi-biochar, and 2˜5% polysaccharide polymer be mixed, stirred, dried, heated and pressed into shape, high temperature sterilized and molded, and cooled and pressed, then cut to form a natural turf modular planting material. Since the modular planting material has many pores, it has the feature of water retention, air permeability and promoting the growth of the beneficial bacteria and the plants.
FLOATING GOLF TARGET
A golf target for use on a body of water having a water surface is described. The golf target comprises a first float having a first diameter and a second float having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter. The golf target also comprises a mesh having an outer perimeter, a mesh center, and a middle portion extending between the outer perimeter and the mesh center. The outer perimeter of the mesh is affixed to the first float, and the mesh center is affixed to the second float. At least a part of the middle portion is arranged to submerge under the water surface when the golf target is floated on the body of water.
Method and Apparatus for Distant Location of an Object
The present method and apparatus capture the position of a golf ball on a golf course consistently and accurately using consumer-grade, affordable technology. The output provides the latitude and longitude of the ball along with, optionally, additional insights including surface type, club, stroke, penalties, etc. Accuracy can differ slightly depending on location but is typically within a matter of feet. For example, the rough may be less accurate whereas the greens should be very accurate. This method and apparatus utilize 3-5 trackers, typically volunteers, per hole to capture shot-level data while leveraging commercially available smart devices and range finders.
DEVICE FOR GENERATING VIRTUAL GOLF HOLES FOR USE ON TRADITIONAL GREENS
A device for generating virtual golf holes on a green includes a housing configured for coupling to a golf pin at a distance above a green, one or more cameras located within the housing, the one or more cameras configured to gather data from an area of the green surrounding the golf pin, one or more speakers located within the housing and a processor located within the housing and communicably connected with the one or more cameras and the one or more speakers, the processor configured for generating an internal representation of one or more virtual golf holes around the golf pin, reading the data from the one or more cameras, determining whether a golf ball detected by the one or more cameras has entered the one or more virtual golf holes, and activating the one or more speakers to play one or more audible sounds if the golf ball detected by the one or more cameras is determined to have entered the one or more virtual golf holes.
GOLF BALL IMAGING FOR GOLF ENTERTAINMENT VENUE
Golf entertainment venues with a computing system configured to optically identify and track graphical images located on golf balls hit by players. The graphical image located on a golf ball can be associated with a player and the computing system can assign the player a score when that player's golf ball successfully arrives at a target area. In some embodiments, the graphical images can be printed on the golf balls using, for example, a single pass inkjet printing technique. In some embodiments, the computing system can be configured to sort golf balls based on optically identified graphical images.
