Throwing apparatus and method
A throwing apparatus and method a throwing apparatus has a main body connected to a base. A cocking arm is connected with the main body at a main body axle and movably connected with a release arm. A throwing assembly is connected to a throwing assembly bracket connected to the main body at the main body axle, where the throwing assembly includes an adjustable angle assembly movably connectable with the throwing assembly, the throwing assembly configured to support a projectile, where the projectile is held at selected angles in relation to the throwing assembly by the adjustable angle assembly and where the release arm is configured to releasably connect with the throwing assembly. A power assembly is provided with a first end and a second end, where the first end is connected with the throwing assembly bracket and the second end is connected with the main body.
Ball Tossing Machine
The present invention relates to an improved ball tossing device that is portable and adjustable to accommodate a variety of different balls and lobbing preferences. This may be achieved through various features including some or all of the following: a ball feeding mechanism using a rotating disk with an offset feed channel to deliver balls to the ball tossing queue; a catapult arm that uses a motor/spring mechanism to toss balls in the queue out of the machine; an indexer feature for isolating the ball to be tossed from the other balls in the queue; and adjustable features that allow users to vary ball trajectory of the ball being tossed.
Auto feed hockey puck passing mechanism
A device for automatically launching hockey pucks includes a vertical holder, a throwing arm, a spring, and a base. The vertical holder is configured to hold a plurality of hockey pucks therein. The throwing arm is positioned underneath the vertical holder and configured to rotate. The spring is connected to the rotating throwing arm and configured to accelerate the rotation of the arm so as to launch a hockey puck of the plurality of hockey pucks off of the arm at a rate of 10-40 mph. The base is configured to support the vertical holder, the throwing arm, and the spring such that the hockey puck is launched substantially horizontally.
Basketball training system
A basketball training system includes a ball delivery system in which a basketball is delivered to a ball ready holder located in front of a ball launch mechanism. A launch arm is grabbed and pulled backward against a spring force, and then is released to pivot forward and strike the basketball from the ball ready holder.
Mechanical projectile and target game
In one implementation, a game apparatus includes a base with a playing surface that has (i) a first end with a first designated area for cups and (ii) a second end; a game piece; a tether that attaches the game piece to the base so as to permit the game piece to move freely within the tether's range; and a first launcher that includes a mechanism to launch the game piece as a projectile, the first launcher being positioned at or around the second end to launch the game piece toward the first designated area for cups, wherein the first designated area for cups and at least a portion of the first launcher are within the tether's range.
Portable basketball shooting machine
A shooting system includes a collapsible ball capture support adapted to support a ball capture device and a ball return. The ball return detects a ball captured by the ball capture device and returns the ball to a user in response to the detected ball. To return the ball to the user, the system identifies a location of the user with respect to the shooting system, orients the ball return toward the user, and accelerates the ball along a trajectory based on a distance between the user and the shooting system.
