An instructional device for an instructor to use with a student for downhill skiing is disclosed. In use, the instructor skis to the side and behind the student skier. A curved extension member is provided at the end of a shaft and is placed against the student skier's midsection to provide stability and balance for the student. Two student handles can be attached to the extension member. The student handles serve two purposes. The device can be easily converted for use either from the student's right side or left side, depending on the instructor's preference. Second, the student handles can be added as the student progresses to help correctly position the student's hands and develop good posture for the eventual use of ski poles. An instructor handle is located along the shaft. The instructor handle may be adjustable along the length of the shaft.

A device for the coupling between a glove or other covering element of a user's hand and a pole for sportive practice includes a first magnetic coupling element associated or associable with the pole and a second magnetic coupling element associated or associable with the glove or with the other covering element. The first element is arranged at the handle of the pole, and the second element is arranged in such a way as to be positioned at the palm of the user's hand corresponding to an area between the thumb and index finger.

The invention relates to a hand-retaining device (70) for securing to a pole handle (1), comprising an insert opening (71) for the hand, a first exit opening (72) for the hack of the hand, and a second exit opening (73) for the thumb. Releasable magnetic pole strap systems are disclosed. Embodiments are directed to a releasable magnetic pole strap system including a pole which includes: a proximal end having a distal surface; and a pole attachment device connected to the distal surface of the proximal end of the pole. The system also includes a strap including a strap attachment device which is configured to be releasably attached to the pole attachment device. The distal surface of the proximal end of the pole is at least partially covered by the pole attachment device. Each of the pole attachment device and the strap attachment device includes either a magnet or a non-magnetic ferric material. At least one of the pole attachment device or the strap attachment device includes a magnet.

A pole handle having a central receiving area that receives a loop fastening element with a hand loop, which is secured to the loop fastening element and has an adjustable size. A displaceable latching structure is arranged in the region of the hook so that an eye-shaped device which is pushed in from above and is provided on the hand holding device is fixed in a self-locking manner. The hook is arranged on the stick handle on the hand side in the upper region. A holding mandrel, which is set off from the handle body to the hand side, forms an insertion slot. The latching structure includes a retaining lug which defines a region, restricted against a force, for the eye-shaped device. An upper region of the holding mandrel or the entire holding mandrel, viewed in the running direction, can be deflected laterally on both sides against a restoring force.
