Pole apparatus, methods, and systems
One aspect of this disclosure is a pole apparatus. The pole apparatus may comprise a grip segment comprising a cord attachment surface; a pole segment; a tip segment and a cord extending between at least the pole segment and the tip segment. The grip segment, the pole segment, and the tip segment may be arrangeable in a side-by-side disposition. A portion of the cord extending between the pole segment and the tip segment may be positionable on the cord attachment surface in the side-by-side disposition. The grip segment may be removably attachable to the tip segment such that, when the portion of the cord is positioned on the cord attachment surface, the removable attachment of the grip segment to the tip segment may maintain the side-by-side disposition. Aspects of related apparatus, methods, and systems also are disclosed.
ILLUMINATED TREKKING POLE
An illumination system for a handheld support apparatus is disclosed. A variety of applications for the handheld support apparatus are considered, including, but not limited to, hiking, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, trailblazing, rock climbing, and mountaineering. The illumination system can advantageously illuminate the surrounding environment of the handheld support apparatus during use. Illumination systems can be disposed within the support apparatus or on the external surface of the support apparatus. The illumination system can comprise a power source and a light-emitting device. The illumination system can further comprise at least one internal electrical conductor configured to transfer power from the power source to the light-emitting device. In some embodiments, the light-emitting from the support apparatus can be controlled by predetermined values to optimize preferred performance parameters.
Weighted Training Equipment
Training equipment includes a hollow shaft having a sidewall defining an internal cavity and at least one polymer material filling at least a portion of the internal cavity. The polymer material may fill the entire internal cavity of the hollow shaft. The polymer material may be a visco-elastic polymer material or polyurethane. A spacer or a filler may fill at least a portion of the internal cavity. A method of making weighted training equipment with a hollow shaft having a sidewall defining an internal cavity may include injecting a curable composition into at least a portion of the internal cavity. The method may further include curing the curable composition into a polymer material.
Illuminated trekking pole
An illumination system for a handheld support apparatus is disclosed. A variety of applications for the handheld support apparatus are considered, including, but not limited to, hiking, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, trailblazing, rock climbing, and mountaineering. The illumination system can advantageously illuminate the surrounding environment of the handheld support apparatus during use. Street paddle assembly
A street paddle assembly for propelling, balancing, and slowing the user upon a skateboard includes a shaft, a tube, and a foot. The shaft comprises a plurality of sections, which are selectively mutually engageable so that the sections are linearly oriented. A connector engaged to each of the plurality of sections is positioned to retain the sections in proximity when the sections are mutually disengaged. The foot is engaged to a lower end of the shaft and can frictionally engage a surface. The tube is selectively engageable to an upper end of the shaft and extends bidirectionally therefrom. The tube and the shaft can be grasped in a respective hands of a user, positioning the user to utilize the assembly. Each of a pair of caps selectively engageable to a respective opposed endpoint of the tube retain an article positioned in the tube.
Releasable magnetic ski pole strap system
Releasable magnetic pole strap systems are disclosed. Embodiments are directed to a releasable magnetic pole strap system including a pole which includes: a proximal end having a distal surface; and a pole attachment device connected to the distal surface of the proximal end of the pole. The system also includes a strap including a strap attachment device which is configured to be releasably attached to the pole attachment device. The distal surface of the proximal end of the pole is at least partially covered by the pole attachment device. Each of the pole attachment device and the strap attachment device includes either a magnet or a non-magnetic ferric material. At least one of the pole attachment device or the strap attachment device includes a magnet.
POLE HANDLE WITH LOOP FASTENING
A pole handle having a central receiving area that receives a loop fastening element with a hand loop, which is secured to the loop fastening element and has an adjustable size. The loop fastening element and the hand loop is secured to the loop fastening element to form a modular unit which is formed separately from a core of the pole handle and which is secured to the core of the pole handle in a reversibly tiltable manner about a rotational axis in the pole handle. The loop fastening element can be tilted from a rest position, in which the loop fastening element is integrated into the surface contour of the handle head and in which the size of the hand loop cannot be adjusted, upwards about the rotational axis into an adjustment position, in which the size of the hand loop can be adjusted.
Pole handle and pole comprising said pole handle
Pole handle, for alpine ski poles or cross-country ski poles, with a handle body and with a hook for fastening a hand holding device. A displaceable latching structure is arranged in the region of the hook so that an eye-shaped device which is pushed in from above and is provided on the hand holding device is fixed in a self-locking manner. The hook is arranged on the stick handle on the hand side in the upper region. A holding mandrel, which is set off from the handle body to the hand side, forms an insertion slot. The latching structure includes a retaining lug which defines a region, restricted against a force, for the eye-shaped device. An upper region of the holding mandrel or the entire holding mandrel, viewed in the running direction, can be deflected laterally on both sides against a restoring force.
