Ski climbing attachment systems and methods
Systems and methods for attaching with a ski to provide improved traction while climbing snowy grades. Exemplary climbing track assemblies can include an attachment to the bottom of a ski that improves traction for hiking or climbing uphill. Assemblies can also include an under-binding bracket, which is mounted under the toe-piece binding of the ski which allows the device to be securely fastened. Assemblies may further include a shim, provided as a small plate mounted under the heel-piece binding, which operates to keep the binding level.
Telemark ski binding assembly
A telemark ski binding has a toe retainer pivotally coupled to a base. A lock assembly of the binding has an actuator assembly. The lock assembly is adjustable between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. The binding further has a heel retainer rotatably coupled to the toe retainer. When the lock assembly is in the unlocked configuration, the toe retainer is unlocked, and the toe retainer and heel retainer are both rotatable together substantially inline, relative to the base, around a first center point. When the lock assembly is in the locked configuration, the toe retainer is locked, and the toe retainer is restrained from rotating relative to the base. The heal retainer is rotatable relative to the toe retainer around a second center point. The second center point is at a different location from said first center point.

SKI BINDING, IN PARTICULAR A TELEMARK SKI BINDING, AND SKI PROVIDED WITH SUCH A BINDING
A binding having a front plate (2), a front assembly (3) for immobilising the boot and capable of cooperating with the sole (81) of the boot (8), a rear assembly (6) for retaining the boot and capable of cooperating with a retaining lug (85) of the rear portion of the front sole and/or with the rear sole, the rear assembly being movable relative to the front plate in the vertical plane, and tensioning means (66) which act between the rear retaining assembly (6) and the ski and/or the front plate (2) and which are capable of tensioning the boot (8) on the binding (1) and enabling the heel to be raised freely. The front immobilisation assembly is mounted in a floating manner on the front plate about a transverse pivot axis (A3), the supporting point enabling the front end (81′) of the sole (81) of the boot.
Ski binding with heelless telemark coupling
Presented is one embodiment of a telemark-capable ski binding system which combines the conventional tech style toe piece or front coupling with a telemark tension assembly (110) that provides the necessary rotational resistance to a ski boot (300) but still allows the ski boot heel to be raised for a telemark style turn upon descent. Telemark tension assembly (110) can be adjusted to alter the engagement of telemark tension assembly (110) according to user preference and conditions for descent. Telemark tension assembly (110) can also be loosened to the point that adjustable restraint (112) can be rotated forward and rest unengaged in front of ski boot (300) for free rotation in toe coupling (100) during ascent or touring. This embodiment provides a lightweight telemark ski binding system that has improved resistance to undesirable snow gathering. Other embodiments are described that have adjustability features and alpine descent mode.
Cross-country or ski touring binding
The invention relates to a cross-country or ski touring binding for connecting a boot to a ski in an articulated manner, comprising a binding base body with a standing surface for a sole of the boot and a ski contact surface for at least indirect contact with the ski. The binding has a holding device comprising a receiving element which allows the boot to and a holding element for holding the boot on the receiving element. The holding element moves between a closed position holding the boot on the receiving element and an open position releasing the boot. The binding also has an actuating element with a rotating handle for switching the holding element from the closed to the open position, comprising a substantially disk-shaped, eccentrically mounted force-transmission element received in a recess of the holding element.

The binding also has an actuating element with a rotating handle for switching the holding element from the closed to the open position, comprising a substantially disk-shaped, eccentrically mounted force-transmission element received in a recess of the holding element.
Telemark ski bindings systems and methods
The present invention relates to a ski binding used in telemark skiing. An exemplary system maintains a toe of a ski boot in association with a ski while permitting a heel of the ski boot to elevate to a top surface of the ski. The binding system comprises several complex subsystems, such as a toe mating mechanism, a toe plate system, a base plate system, a heel fastening mechanism, a sliding plate system, and rail system.
Self-locking binding for telemark ski, touring ski or cross-country ski
A binding for a touring ski, a Telemark ski or a cross-country ski having step in automatic locking. The binding includes a front retaining element to cooperate with the front sole of a boot, a rear retaining element to cooperate with the rear part of the front sole and/or the rear sole of the boot, a tensioning element to tension the boot on the binding and to enable the heel to be freely lifted, a tensioning link placed under and connected to a rear retaining stirrup, and a fixed or retraction stop to cooperate with the tensioning link so as to enable the rear retaining stirrup to move back, tensioning the tensioning element, when the heel of the boot exerts a downwardly directed pressure on the rear retaining boot situated in an idle position.
