Heel unit comprising a release and adjustment mechanism
A heel unit for a touring binding includes a base for mounting on a sliding board and coupling means to engage a heel portion of a sliding board boot in a downhill position of the touring binding to retain the sliding board boot on the touring binding. A release mechanism holds the coupling means so as to be moveable relative to the base and releasable from the sliding board boot, in the downhill position, in an event of action of a force exceeding a predetermined release force. An adjustment mechanism adjusts the touring binding between the downhill position and a walking position in which the coupling means are remote from and do not engage the sliding board boot. The adjustment mechanism comprises an actuation assembly manually actuatable to lock or unlock the adjustment mechanism substantially without an actuation force or with an actuation force less than the predetermined release force.

System for a touring ski-binding comprising a front unit and a heel unit
System for a touring ski-binding comprising a front unit and heel unit comprising a heel member, wherein the stopper plate is switchable between an adjacent position and a protruding position, wherein the stopper plate is configures to leave the adjacent position when the touring ski binding is released, wherein the heel unit is switchable between a starting position for providing a blocking function and for receiving a ski boot, and a snap-in position for retaining the ski boot, wherein the heel unit comprises a walking means by means of which the stopper plate can be blocked in the adjacent position, wherein the blocking means with respect to the pivot axis is switchable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position depending on the position of the heel member, wherein with respect to the downhill mode the front unit in the climbing mode of the touring ski-binding is displaced to the front in the longitudinal direction of the ski, so that a ski boot present in the touring ski-binding cannot contact the heel member of the heel unit.
Heel unit fora touring ski-binding
A heel unit for a touring ski-binding, comprising, a heel member, wherein the heel member comprises a reception bowl for receiving the heel part of a ski boot and a biasing device for biasing the heel unit against a ski boot, and wherein the heel unit is switchable between a starting position for receiving or releasing the ski boot and a snap-in position for holding the ski boot, wherein the heel unit comprises a blocking means by means of which the heel unit can be blocked in the starting position, wherein the blocking means is switchable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position.
Telemark ski bindings systems and methods
The present invention relates to a ski binding used in telemark skiing. An exemplary system maintains a toe of a ski boot in association with a ski while permitting a heel of the ski boot to elevate to a top surface of the ski. The binding system comprises several complex subsystems, such as a toe mating mechanism, a toe plate system, a base plate system, a heel fastening mechanism, a sliding plate system, and rail system.
HEEL UNIT FOR A TOURING SKI-BINDING
The present invention relates to a heel unit (1) for a touring ski-binding, comprising, a heel member (10), wherein the heel member (10) comprises a reception bowl (12) for receiving the heel part of a ski boot and a biasing device (14) for biasing the heel unit (1) against a ski boot, and wherein the heel unit (1) is switchable between a starting position for receiving or releasing the ski boot and a snap-in position for holding the ski boot, wherein the heel unit (1) comprises a blocking means by means (20) of which the heel unit (1) can be blocked in the starting position, wherein the blocking means (20) is switchable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position.
SYSTEM FOR A TOURING SKI-BINDING COMPRISING A FRONT UNIT AND A HEEL UNIT
The present invention relates to a system for a touring ski-binding comprising a front unit (5) and heel unit (1) comprising a heel member (10), wherein the heel member (10) comprises a reception bowl (12) for receiving the heel part of a ski boot, a biasing device (14) for biasing the heel unit (1) against a ski boot, wherein the heel member (10) is pivotally disposed around a pivot axis (S1), wherein the pivot axis (S1) runs horizontally, transverse to the longitudinal direction of the ski (L), and a stopper plate (40) for releasing a ski stopper, wherein the stopper plate (40) is switchable between an adjacent position and a protruding position, wherein the stopper plate (40) is configures to leave the adjacent position when the touring ski binding is released, wherein the heel unit (1) is switchable between a starting position for providing a blocking function and for receiving a ski boot, and a snap-in position for retaining the ski boot, wherein the heel unit (1) comprises a walking means by means of which the stopper plate (40) can be blocked in the adjacent position, wherein the blocking means (20) with respect to the pivot axis (S1) is switchable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position depending on the position of the heel member (1), wherein with respect to the downhill mode the front unit (5) in the climbing mode of the touring ski-binding is displaced to the front in the longitudinal direction of the ski (L), so that a ski boot present in the touring ski-binding cannot contact the heel member (10) of the heel unit (1).
Alpine ski binding heel unit
Ski binding heel unit includes lateral release cams and a vector decoupler mechanism that provide lateral shear release of the heel of a ski boot from a ski. The ski binding heel unit includes an independent vertical heel release mechanism, independent lateral release mechanism and a forward pressure compensator. The lateral release cams have laterally outwardly flaring contact points. The vector decoupler mechanism restricts heel unit lateral rotation and translation to a control path. The shape of the lateral release cams dictates the control path. The vector decoupler mechanism redirects the non-lateral forces without effecting the vertical heel release, lateral heel release or forward pressure compensator. The lateral release cams and vector decoupler mechanism avert non-lateral, benign loads from the lateral heel release, and avert non-vertical, benign loads from the vertical heel release thereby reducing the incidence of inadvertent pre-release of a boot from a ski.
