Cue with kinetic energy absorbing insert
11534676 · 2022-12-27 · ·

A cue for billiard sports that has a butt section, a joint collar, and a shaft section that has a kinetic energy absorbing insert located in the shaft section of the cue. A shaft section that has a kinetic energy absorbing insert that may be connected to an existing joint collar and butt section of a cue to improve the kinetic energy absorbing characteristics of the cue. A kinetic energy absorbing insert that is to be received by an existing shaft section of a cue in order to increase the kinetic energy absorbing characteristics of the cue is also disclosed.

Mechanical Cue Stick Device
20210086062 · 2021-03-25 ·

A mechanical cue stick device for striking a cue ball without action of an arm includes a tube, a rod and an actuator. The tube has a first end that is closed and a second end that is open. The rod is slidably coupled to the tube and is selectively extensible from the second end of the tube. The actuator is coupled to and positioned within the tube proximate to the first end. The actuator is operationally coupled to the rod so that the actuator is positioned to forcibly extend the rod from the tube. A switch that is operationally coupled to the actuator is coupled to the tube so that the switch is positioned proximate to a digit of a hand that grasps the tube. The switch is configured to be switched to actuate the actuator to forcibly extend the rod from the tube to strike a cue ball.

Moving weight system for a cue stick

A weight system for a cue stick includes a housing and a set of weighted elements enclosed within the housing. The housing is enclosed within a cavity of the cue stick, the housing having a first end and a second end. The weighted elements are sized to enable the set of weighted elements to move between the first and second ends of the housing during movement of the cue stick.

Spring-loaded billiard cue assembly

A spring-loaded billiard cue assembly for shooting cue ball in billiards includes a tube that may be gripped while playing the game of billiards. A rod is slidably positioned in the tube and the rod is urged into a retracted position having the rod being positioned in the tube. The rod is biased into an extended position having the rod extending outwardly from the tube for striking a cue ball in the game of billiards. A light emitter is coupled to the tube to emit a beam of light outwardly therefrom for aiming during the game of billiards.

Striking implement comprising a constrained frequency resonator

A constrained frequency resonator is incorporated into the shaft of a striking implement for transferring and, advantageously, amplifying momentum from a striking end to a gripped end of the striking implement, thereby amplifying the sensation of a strike felt at the gripped end. The resonator has a substantially hourglass shape, with wide ends and a narrow waist, and is made of stainless steel or another very hard material. The shape of the resonator causes it to act as a vibration frequency filter that transfers and, preferably, amplifies a certain frequency or band of frequencies. The striking implement may be a golf club, pool cue, or other implement in which frequency transfer to a gripping section is desired.
