DATA PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VIRTUAL SCENE, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
20230043203 · 2023-02-09 ·

This application provides a method for processing data associated with a virtual scene. The method includes: receiving a save request for progress data of the virtual scene; the save request being generated in a process in which a target user performs a virtual scene operation on the virtual scene, and being used for requesting to save progress data corresponding to current operation progress of the virtual scene operation; generating, based on the save request, an archive file used for indicating the operation progress of the virtual scene operation; generating and storing, based on the archive file, a data snapshot of the progress data corresponding to the operation progress; and returning the data snapshot in a case of receiving an acquiring request for the progress data of the operation progress, so as to present, based on the data snapshot, a picture of the virtual scene corresponding to the operation progress.

Program Mode Transition

A computing system is configured to execute a computer program on a server and to provide a video stream of the program output to a geographically remote client over a communication network. The computing system is further configured to provide executable content of the computer program to the client over the communication network in parallel with the video stream. When a sufficient amount of the executable content has been provided to the client execution of the computer program is transitioned from the server to the client. The transition optionally includes communicating a state of the computer program from the server to the client. The executable content can be provided to the client in an order that is determined based on the state of the computer program. Those parts of the executable content deemed most likely to be necessary to support game play on the client are given priority.

Using HMD Camera Touch Button to Render Images of a User Captured During Game Play

Methods and systems for presenting an image of a user interacting with a video game includes providing images of a virtual reality (VR) scene of the video game for rendering on a display screen of a head mounted display (HMD). The images of the VR scene are generated as part of game play of the video game. An input provided at a user interface on the HMD received during game play is used to initiate a signal to pause the video game and to generate an activation signal to activate an image capturing device. The activation signal causes the image capturing device to capture an image of the user interacting in a physical space. The image of the user captured by the image capturing device during game play is associated with a portion of the video game that corresponds with a time when the image of the user was captured. The association causes the image of the user to be transmitted to the HMD for rendering on the display screen of the HMD.

Dynamic interfaces for launching direct gameplay

A method for launching interactive content including associating one or more templates with a corresponding one or more activities of an interactive content title and transmitting the one or more templates to a platform server. The method includes selecting and displaying a set of templates generated from the one or more templates received on a user device. The method includes launching the activity in the interactive title based on a template selected by a user.

A method for connecting game plays between different players playing a video game. The method includes determining that a first character has accomplished a mission within a region of a virtual environment of the video game, wherein the first character is controlled by a first player playing the video game in a first game play. The method includes opening access by the first character to a regional inter-game communication medium in response to accomplishing the task. The method includes generating first data in the first game play. The method includes cross-pollinating the first data using the regional inter-game communication medium across a plurality of virtual environments of a plurality of asynchronous game plays of a plurality of players.

APPLICATION STARTUP AND ARCHIVING

A method for starting an application is provided. In the method, a video that includes game content of a game application is played back. A startup operation to start the game application is received from a user during the playback of the video. The game application is started in response to the startup operation. Further, the game content of the started game application that is determined to match the game content of the video when the startup operation is received from the user is displayed. The game content of the started game application is determined based on when the startup operation is received from the user during the playback of the video.

Method for game console operation based on detection of change in controller state

A method, system and device for controller operation, comprises detecting a change in a state of the controller from a charging state to an operation state. A state of the computing device changes from a controller charging state to a controller operation state in response to detecting the change in the state of the controller. The computing device receives an input from the controller sends a visual indication of the input to a display device. Additionally, a method, system and device for enhanced controller charging, may comprise detecting a change in a controller state from an operation state to a charging state. A computing device determines whether an ignore input is present after detecting the change in controller state and automatically signs out of a user account or automatically goes into a standby mode when the ignore input is not present.
