A card dispenser and display apparatus for securely loading, maintaining, removing and displaying game cards during the playing of a game. The apparatus includes a housing and a generally planar base. The inner space of the housing is configured to contain a plurality of cards having a uniform height and width. The inner space of the housing has a width that is substantially equal to the uniform width of the plurality of cards, at least a portion of which housing has a height that is lower than the uniform height of the plurality of cards, thereby enabling a user to manually lift a card from the front of the housing to move the card to the back of the housing, as well as enabling the removal of a deck of playing cards from the housing.
Melding card game and method of play
A melding card game and method of play includes 114 numbered, face, ace, mulligan, joker, and wild cards. A round is played in which nine layout cards are dealt face-down to players and arranged in a grid. Each player turns at least one layout card face up and takes a turn. In the turn, each player draws a drawn card from a discard or draw pile and plays or discards the drawn card. If the player plays the drawn card, the player replaces a layout card with the drawn card. The players play one additional turn after an ender player turns all of their respective cards face up. A score for each player is then determined. A penalty is assigned to the ender player if another player has a lower score. Nine rounds are played. The player with the lowest total score is declared the winner.
Card Game System for the Visually and/or Hearing Impaired
This present invention relates to a card game system that assists visually and/or hearing-impaired individuals play card games. The card game system is comprised of a game board, one or more decks of playing cards, and a choice of Bluetooth or embedded speakers. Each card has a printed suit and a rank, and an optical code encoded with the suit and the rank of the card. A braille pad can be used for denoting the suit and the rank of the card. The game board has an optical scanner for scanning the optical code of cards placed on the board for identifying the suit and the rank of the cards and for announcing the suit and the rank using the Bluetooth or embedded speakers. The board has a processor identifying a winner of a game based on the moves and sequence of cards placed on the board.
