A puzzle system includes a flexible plate having cavities of arbitrary shapes, a stiffener structure, and flexible puzzle pieces which are also of arbitrary shapes. The shape of at least one of the puzzle pieces substantially matches the shape of at least one of the cavities. A toy having a theme comprises a puzzle including first pieces, second pieces and a frame support. The first pieces are configured to be assembled into a three-dimensional structure. Each of the first pieces includes at least one of a tab and a hole. In particular, the hole is sized and shaped to receive the tab of another one of the pieces. Each of the second pieces are configured to interactively cooperate with the three-dimensional set piece. Each of the first and second pieces also includes a graphic image associated with the theme of the toy. The frame support is substantially flat with a first side having recesses for receiving each of the first and second pieces. The frame support also has a second side, opposite the first side having a graphic image (e.g., representative of a stage) associated with the theme of the toy.

PUZZLE

A children’s puzzle including a rigid frame and a set of removable, rigid, non-interlocking pieces. The rigid frame has two opposite broad sides defining a thickness with multiple recesses which are sized to simultaneously accommodate all of the pieces of the set. Each recess is surrounded by one or more elevated surfaces of the rigid frame. At least one of the recesses on at least one broad side of the rigid frame loosely contains multiple pieces of the set. The recesses of the two opposite broad sides of the rigid frame are arranged differently, so as to form respective arrangements of the pieces of the set when accommodated in the recesses. The pieces each have a flat bottom surface. At least three of the pieces have different perimeter shapes. The pieces are retained in the recesses only by gravity.

The axles have a length spanning a width of the box, which has two pairs of through holes on two opposing sides to accommodate the axles, such that the axles are threaded through the through holes. The two pairs of wheels are rotatably attached to the box by magnetically coupling the first magnetically attractable component to the second magnetically attractable component, such that the activity box is configured to be used as a cart that can be rolled over a surface.
