The gear system (7) is configured so that the angular speed of said arms (3a-3d) is substantially identical for all the arms. The first gear (71) is directly meshing with said second gears (72a-72d), or it is coupled to said second gears (72a-72d) via one or more secondary gears.

The invention relates to a cabin for transporting passengers, comprising at least one door (P1, P2), an interior floor (C) and a doorsill (S) located on either side of the door, and a locking device comprising a lug (E) which is rigidly connected to the door and projects toward the outside of the cabin, and a catch finger (4) that is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The invention also relates to an actuating mechanism comprising a pedal (7) which is located under the interior floor (C) of the cabin and can be accessed via a hatch in the floor of the cabin, and a kinematic connection between the pedal (7) and the finger (4), which connection is located under the interior floor (C) and under the doorsill (S) of the cabin. In the locked position, the finger is an abutment on the path of the lug (E). In the unlocked position, the finger is retracted under the doorsill (S) of the cabin.

The present invention relates to an amusement ride (1), such as a fairground attraction or an amusement park attraction. The attraction comprises a main carrier (10) rotatable about a first, substantially vertical axis of rotation (R1), a first drive for rotation of the main carrier about the first axis of rotation, at least one passenger carrier (20) which is rotatable about a second, substantially vertical, rotation axis (R2). The passenger carrier is attached to the main carrier at a distance from the first axis of rotation and has a second drive for rotation of the passenger carrier about the second axis of rotation. The passenger carrier is provided with one or more passenger carrier arms with a seat carrier (30) with one or more seats. Each seat carrier is rotatable about a third axis of rotation (R3), which is at an angle of substantially 30 to 70 degrees with respect to the second axis of rotation.

A vertically rotating chair assembly for rotating a child includes a plate. A pair of supports is coupled singly to opposing edges of the plate. The supports extend substantially vertically from the plate. An axle is rotatably coupled to and extends between the supports distal from the plate. A pair of flanges is coupled singly proximate to opposing ends of the axle. A plurality of crossbars is coupled to and extends between the flanges proximate to circumferences of the flanges. A seat, which is configured to position a child, is rotatably coupled to a respective crossbar. An actuator is coupled to an outside face of a respective support. The actuator is operationally coupled to the axle. The actuator is positioned to motivate rotation of the axle such that the flanges, the crossbars, the seat and a child positioned in the seat rotate vertically around the axle.
