The elements (6, 6′, 8, 8′, 74, 76, 78, 80, 88, 88′, 90, 90′) prevent one or more of the other elements (6, 6′, 8, 8′, 74, 76, 78, 80, 88, 88′, 90, 90′) from being opened/detached in such a manner that a first element (8′) is required to be opened/detached in order to open/detach another element (8).

A building set includes a tray having a first row and a second row, each having a plurality of marker positions. The example building set also includes a plurality of markers configured for interchangeably fitting with the marker positions on the tray. A connection mechanism has a first connection on a first side of the markers, a second connection on a second side of the markers, and a third connection at each of the marker positions. The third connection interchangeably mates with the first connection and the second connection of the plurality of markers. The connection mechanism is at least one of hook-and-loop and magnetic, and may be biased toward one side of the markers to aid in subtraction. The tray and markers are configurable in various exercises and games to teach at least one of numeracy, arithmetic, and spelling.

Disclosed is a fabric based article, such as for example, a blanket that may be customizable. For aesthetic purposes, the fabric based article may include a design, such as that of a doll. Additionally, the fabric based article may include a plurality of attachments. A visual appearance of the plurality of attachments may correspond to one or more of an article of clothing and an accessory. Further, each attachment may include one or more fasteners. Likewise, the fabric based article may include one or more fasteners disposed on one or more portions of the design. Moreover, a fastener of the one or more fasteners disposed on the one or more portions of the design may be configured to fasten with a fastener included in an attachment of the plurality of attachments in order to customize a visual appearance of the fabric based article.

A carrier sack with a first fastener along a surface portion thereof is provided. The present invention facilitates a blank landscape for children to play with objects having a second fastener that can be detachably mated to the first fastener so that when finished, the child can put the objects in the carrier sack, by turning it inside out, or may leave the objects on top of the carrier sack for display, without falling off. The plurality of objects may be adapted to have upward facing eye elements for developmental engagement with the child-user while the child is partially enveloped through an opening of the carrier sack.

Imagination Tiles is a multiuse play mat which can also be used as a building set. Many different shapes and different size padded mats can be provided. Connection straps having Velcro-like hooks attach to loop fabric located on the exterior of the play mats. Multiple Velcro-like hook straps can be attached at any location along the play mats in order to connect multiple play mats together in many different configurations. The play mat and Velcro-like hook straps can be used together to create a house, a boat, a castle, and many other creative structures.

A family hand puppet. A substantially solid body is provided in the shape of a human hand, the body having a main portion and a plurality of separate fingers extending therefrom, each finger having a distal end. A set of separate attachments is also provided, and a fastening mechanism such as hook and loop fasteners or adhesive tape releasably connects the set of separate attachments to corresponding distal ends of the fingers. In another embodiment, the puppet has a hollow body, forming a glove for articulation by a human hand inserted therein.

An educational apparatus is disclosed. The educational apparatus has one or more first sheet members including a first side and a second side, the first side and the second side each having first markings indicating the same first surface area, and one or more first attachment portions disposed along some or substantially all of a perimeter of the one or more first sheet members. An inflatable recreation system designed to allow a user to self-assemble a customizable play structure. The inflatable recreation system includes a plurality of inflatable members, each having an interior volume designed to hold air within. Each inflatable member has a valve on an exterior surface in communication with the interior volume and designed to accept a pump nozzle therein. Each inflatable member is a polyhedron having a three-dimensional shape and flat polygonal faces with a first fastener disposed along a perimeter and a second fastener disposed on an exterior surface, such that each inflatable member is designed to removably secure to one another. In this way, a user is able to self-assemble a customizable play structure.
