CHROMATOGRAPHIC METHOD FOR SEPARATING TRANSITION METALS
A method for separating of at least two transition metals, the method comprising: injecting a feed solution into a chromatography column comprising a chromatographic support media, the feed solution comprising at least two transition metals; eluting the feed from the column in an elution cycle by flowing an eluent through the column, wherein a concentration of the eluent is reduced during the elution cycle prior to elution of at least one of the transition metals.
Process for preparing an adsorbent material and process for extracting lithium using said material
The present invention relates to the field of solid materials for the adsorption of lithium. In particular, the present invention relates to a novel process for preparing a solid crystalline material formed preferably in extrudate form, of formula (LiCl).sub.x.2Al(OH).sub.3,nH.sub.2O with n being between 0.01 and 10, x being between 0.4 and 1, comprising a step a) to precipitate boehmite under specific conditions of temperature and pH, a step to place the precipitate obtained in contact with a specific quantity of LiCl, at least one forming step preferably via extrusion, said process also comprising a final hydrothermal treatment step, all allowing an increase in lithium adsorption capacity and in the adsorption kinetics of the materials obtained compared to prior art materials, when used in a process to extract lithium from saline solutions.
ZEARALENONE FUNCTIONALIZED GRAPHENE SURFACE MOLECULARLY IMPRINTED MATERIAL, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND USE THEREOF
A zearalenone functionalized graphene surface molecularly imprinted material, a preparation method therefor and the use thereof, which belong to the technical field of molecularly imprinted materials. The zearalenone functionalized graphene surface molecularly imprinted material is prepared by using RGO as a carrier, CDHB as a template molecule, 1-ALPP as a functional monomer, TRIM as a cross-linking agent, AIBN as an initiator, and acetonitrile as a pore-forming agent.
Method for the preparation of controlled porosity supports for chromatographic separation
Disclosed herein are extraction chromatographic supports comprising a porous support, an inert filler, and metal ion binding extractant that may be used for chromatographic separation of metal ions. Also disclosed herein are methods for preparing and using the extraction chromatographic supports.
Layered structures with spacers and channels for separation
Devices for the separation of components within a fluid are disclosed herein. The device typically includes layers of spacers and separation surfaces. The separation panels have channels with functionalized surfaces to attract and retain components within the fluid. The separation panels include a border (housing) to constrain the fluid.
Sorbent for a dialysis device
There is provided a sorbent for removing metabolic waste products from a dialysis liquid, the sorbent comprising a layer of immobilized uremic toxin-treating enzyme particles intermixed with cation exchange particles.
Polymer for separation of analytes and methods for preparation and use of same
A polymer for liquid chromatography or solid phase extraction is provided. The polymer is prepared by polymerizing styrene and divinylbenzene to form a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer; soaking the styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer in a swelling agent to form nano-scale micropores; and soaking the microporous styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer in methanol. When packed in a chromatographic column, the polymer can be used to produce produce natural health or medicinal products from Cannabis species, for example, industrial hemp.
Systems and methods for failure mode detection in process chromatography
The disclosure provides systems and methods useful for predicting or detecting a malfunction in a chromatography process in real-time. In some embodiments, the disclosure provides systems and methods for detecting an atypical profile in a process chromatogram in ion-exchange chromatography of a biologic product.
Chromatography system with tilt-prevention structure and associated process
Chromatography apparatus and methods are described, especially for expanded bed adsorption. A column tube has a process fluid input device at the bottom and a movable piston in the top. The piston is enclosed in the column by a cover plate. The piston body has an inflatable seal, and is connected by a frame to a contact ring which carries another inflatable member to contact the tube wall. Process fluid leaves the operating volume through an opening of the piston and flexible hose, through the enclosed space and out through the cover plate. The space above the piston can be pressurised to control piston movement. The contact ring maintains piston alignment. The inflatable seals are used to fix the piston in position, allow it to slide or allow washing. The piston outlet may include a vortex-inhibitor. Bed and piston levels may be monitored by ultrasound sensors.
