SEPARATION VESSEL WITH ENHANCED PARTICULATE REMOVAL
A separation tank for crude oil. Fluid enters an inlet section of a center column of the tank via an offset inlet pipe so the fluid enters swirling. Solids that settle in the inlet section are removed by a center column drain and a solids removal system. Free gas rises and exits from the top of the tank. Liquid flows out of the center column via a diffuser that spirals the fluid evenly toward the wall of the tank where oil coalesces and wicks upward. Liquid flows downward around two flow diverting baffles where more oil coalesces and wicks upward via an oil conduit into the oil layer. The water flows under the lower flow diverting baffle and exits the tank through the outlet section. A large circular oil collector weir uniformly removes oil from the oil layer. Interface draw offs located below the oil-water interface remove excess BS&W.
Electrochemical Treatment Methods
Methods of treating a fluid mixture include performing a first treatment on the mixture with electrochemically produced ions to separate an aqueous phase and a hydrophobic phase and performing a second electrochemical treatment on the separated aqueous phase to thereby remove aqueous contaminants from the aqueous phase wherein substantially laminar flow of fluid occurs between electrodes in the second electrochemical treatment.
COALESCER PLATE WITH PHYLLOTAXIS-DERIVED PATTERN
Coalescer plates, coalescer plate units, and coalescers, are provided. An exemplary embodiment provides a coalescer plate for separating a mixture of immiscible fluids. The coalescer plate comprises a pattern of wetting and non-wetting regions, wherein the pattern is based, at least in part, on phyllotaxis.

Multi-level outlet weir for enhanced volumetric separation for stormwater treatment
A method, system, and apparatus directed to an innovative approach for the treatment of stormwater utilizing hydrodynamic separator assembly designed to maximize flow movement for more efficient sediment removal and maximize water flow control.
Fluid waste filtration system with grease and garbage traps
A fluid waste filtration system includes a housing configured to be coupled between and in fluid communication with a sink and a primary grease trap. The housing defines a chamber and includes a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a grease outlet each in fluid communication with the chamber. The grease outlet is defined in a plane at or above a plane of the fluid outlet. A wall is disposed in the housing and divides the chamber into a first chamber and a second chamber. The wall is configured to direct a fluid that flows into the first chamber through the fluid inlet toward the grease outlet.
Immersed plate heater separation system
A separation system includes an elongated separator vessel having an inlet, a heating section which is located downstream of the inlet, an oil accumulation section which is located downstream of the heating section, and an oil outlet which is connected to the oil accumulation section. The heating section includes an immersed plate heater which is fluidly connected to a heating medium heater that is located externally of the separator vessel. In operation, a heating fluid which is heated in the heating medium heater is circulated through the immersed plate heater to heat the multiphase fluid.
Device for Removing Fats, Oils and/or Grease (FOGs) from Water
A device and a method for removing fats, oils and/or grease (“FOGs”) from water comprise a separator, wherein the separator removes the FOGs that separate from the water under gravity, and a filter wherein the filter removes the FOGs remaining in the water after the water has passed through the separator. The filter comprises several layers having different compositions suitable for removing FOGs from water, including a layer comprising granular activated carbon bonded together and wrapped in polyester.
Floating assembly of inclined channels with an applied electrical field for the accelerated electrostatic separation of water-in-oil dispersions
An emulsion separation device including a plurality of inclined plates, a buoyancy device, and an electric field generation system. Also disclosed are systems and methods for the separation of an emulsion into a continuous aqueous phase and a continuous oil phase. The systems may include: a vessel having an emulsion inlet, a continuous aqueous phase outlet, and a continuous oil phase outlet. A separation device may be disposed in the vessel, the separation device including: a plurality of inclined plates and a buoyancy device configured to maintain the plurality of inclined plates between the continuous aqueous phase and the continuous oil phase. An electric field generation system may also be provided and configured to expose the emulsion to an electric field.
INTEGRATED DOUBLE BAFFLE WALL GREASE INTERCEPTOR
A separation device and method for treating effluent mixture streams including one or more liquid component(s). The device and method can utilize gravity and/or hydromechanical separation to separate non-water components from the effluent mixture. The device and method more particularly relates to an improved large capacity grease interceptor having an integrally formed double baffle sidewall within the tank reservoir to control the movement of effluent mixture within the reservoir, as well as significantly improve structural integrity of the device and ease of manufacturing and assembly.
