Apparatus, systems, and methods for improving slop water treatment efficiency
The present disclosure provides apparatus, systems, and methods for improving slop water treatment efficiency. The method generally includes separating contaminated fluid into a clean fluid layer and one or more contaminant layers floating on a surface of the clean fluid layer in a vessel; reporting to a control unit, a location, sensed by level sensor(s), of an interface between the clean fluid layer and the contaminant layer(s); reporting to the control unit, a height, sensed by a first position sensor, of a skimmer relative to the vessel; adjusting, using the control unit and based on the reported location of the interface and/or the reported height of the skimmer, the height of the skimmer so that one or more components of the skimmer are positioned proximate the sensed location of the interface; and skimming, using the skimmer, the contaminant layer(s) off of the clean fluid layer proximate the sensed interface.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PURIFICATION OF OIL
The method comprises the steps of: providing contaminated oil into a mixing system (3) comprising at least two mixers (5a, 5b, 5c) connected in parallel and at least one valve (6a, 6b, 6c) which can be controlled for allowing contaminated oil to enter one or more of the mixers (5a, 5b, 5c); mixing the contaminated oil in the mixing system (3) wherein the step of mixing comprises measuring a pressure difference over at least one of the mixers (5a, 5b, 5c) and/or over the complete mixing system (3); and controlling the at least one valve (6a, 6b, 6c) in the mixing system (3) such that the contaminated oil is allowed to enter one or more of the mixers (5a, 5b, 5c) in dependence of the measured pressure difference.
SHEARING DEVICE, ARRANGEMENT AND USE
A shearing device, an arrangement and uses thereof. The shearing device is connectable to a drive assembly of the arrangement for separating solids from liquid. The shearing device includes an attachment arrangement arranged in a first end of the device for connecting the shearing device to the drive assembly. The shearing device further includes a shearing arrangement arranged to define a shearing element that is angled with the lengthwise direction of the device and intervals therebetween. The shearing device has a proximal portion closer to the first end and a distal portion closer to a second end of the device opposite to the first end. The average width of the shearing elements arranged in the distal portion is greater than average width of the shearing elements arranged in the proximal portion.
