A process is disclosed for the removal of hydrogen sulfide (H.sub.2S) from natural. This process provides for passing a natural gas feedstream comprising H.sub.2S though a regenerable adsorbent media which adsorbs H.sub.2S to provide an H.sub.2S-lean natural gas product and H.sub.2S. The regenerable adsorbent media of the present invention is a tertiary amine functionalized cross-linked macroporous polymeric adsorbent media.

Heat pump-based water harvesting systems, and methods of using thereof
11559762 · 2023-01-24 · ·

Provided herein are water harvesting systems, as well as methods of making and using such systems, for capturing water from surrounding air using a design that reduces overall energy costs of the systems and improve water harvesting cycle efficiency. The systems and methods use sorbent materials, such as metal-organic frameworks, to adsorb water from the air. The systems and methods desorb this water in the form of water vapor, and the water vapor is condensed into liquid water and collected. The liquid water is suitable for use as drinking water.

Cleansing lamp utilizing metal-organic framework

An LED lighting fixture powered by a Metal-Organic Framework heat battery. The heat battery is formed of a canister, a MOF container comprised of a plurality of MOF tunnels, each MOF tunnel containing a powdered MOF material, a gate, and a plurality of thermoelectric devices. Below a certain adsorption activation temperature, the MOF material adsorbs a gas from the atmosphere. Above a certain desorption activation temperature, the MOF desorbs the gas. The heat from the adsorption is used to generate electrical current. The desorbed gas is captured to remove it from the atmosphere.

Apparatus for producing liquid water from ambient air by adsorption at night and desorption during the day
11524259 · 2022-12-13 · ·

The apparatus for producing liquid water from ambient air includes a lower frame and an upper cover defining an inner space, and at least one air inlet in the lower frame. An adsorption and desorption module is arranged in the inner space with a bed of adsorbent material. A ventilator varies between a first mode in which it imposes vertical forced circulation of the ambient air, and a second mode in which the upper cover acts as a condenser for the ambient air. A valve is arranged in the upper cover to allow the ambient air to flow from the inner space to the outside environment when the ventilator is in the first mode, the valve being otherwise closed. An electronic unit switches the ventilator selectively into the first mode during a period of night time and into the second mode during a period of day time.
