A method for the dry filtration of a gas flow carrying foreign objects, a filter device for cleaning off waste gas resulting from additive manufacturing technologies, comprises feeding a raw gas flow containing foreign objects into a raw gas space of a filter unit having at least one filter surface separating a raw gas side from a clean gas side; feeding oxidant to a reaction region located on the raw gas side of the filter surface downstream of the filter surface; such that foreign objects contained in material cleaned off from the filter surface and/or in the raw gas flow react with the oxidant in the reaction region to form oxide-containing foreign objects.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A SURFACE TREAMENT PLANT
A method for operating a surface treatment plant, resulting overspray in a coating booth is taken up by an air flow. The air flow loaded with overspray is conveyed as exhaust air flow to at least one separation unit in which overspray is separated out. In a supply region upstream of the at least one separation unit and/or in an internal space of the at least one separation unit, a filter aid having a separation aggregate state is added to the exhaust air flow and forms, with the overspray, a separation mixture which is separated in or at the at least one separation unit. The filter aid used is solid or liquid in the separation aggregate state. In the at least one separation unit, conditions are established in which the filter aid transitions from the separation aggregate state into a gaseous aggregate state such that the gaseous filter air can separate from the separation mixture.

An air filter device and an operating method thereof. The air filter device comprises an air filter system and a powder distribution system. The air filter system comprises an air filter chamber (1), a clean air chamber (2), and a high-pressure jet pulse powder cleaning device (3). An entrance of the air filter chamber (1) is in communication with an air inlet pipe (4); an exit of the clean air chamber (2) is in communication with an air outlet pipe (6), and the air outlet pipe (6) is in communication with an exhaust fan (9). A plurality of bag filters or filter cartridges (10) are disposed in the air filter chamber (1). An opening end of each of the bag filters or filter cartridges (10) is in communication with the clean air chamber (2), and high-pressure jet pulse powder cleaning devices (3) are disposed above the opening end of the corresponding bag filters or filter cartridges (10). The powder distribution system includes a powder storage tank (13), which is in communication, via a powder delivery tube (15), with the air inlet pipe (4) of the air filter chamber (1). The operating method comprises a first powder distribution step and a second powder distribution step, which are respectively performed according to pressure detection status of the air filter chamber (1).

A particulate filter for use in an exhaust aftertreatment system includes a ceramic substrate and an ash layer deposited atop the ceramic substrate. The ash layer has a uniform ash density of at least 0.4 g/L of the ceramic substrate. A method of depositing ash layers in a particulate filter of an exhaust aftertreatment system includes providing a ceramic substrate, preconditioning the ceramic substrate, depositing at least one ash layer atop the ceramic substrate during the preconditioning, monitoring uptake of soot into the particulate filter by measuring an increase in pressure drop across the particulate filter.

A method for operating a surface treatment plant, resulting overspray in a coating booth is taken up by an air flow. Provided is an operation method for a coating exhaust treatment system that includes a filter configured to filter discharged air discharged from a coating chamber in which a coating object is spray-coated and collect overspray coating material included in the discharged air, and a powder dispersal means configured to disperse powder for forming a filter covering layer in the discharged air and form a filter covering layer made of a layer of the accumulated powder on a surface on the filter as the discharged air passes through the filter, the method including, when the number of repetitions of a first operation reaches a set number while the first operation and a second operation are being repeatedly carried out alternatingly, discarding coating material-containing powder and supplying fresh powder to a first supply tank, and when the number of repetitions of the second operation reaches the set number, discarding the coating material-containing powder and supplying the fresh powder to the second supply tank.
DEVICE FOR REMOVING WET PAINT OVERSPRAY
The invention relates to a device for removing wet paint overspray from an outgoing air flow containing over-spray particles. The device separates wet paint over-spray from an over-spray particle contained in an exhaust air stream. The overspray particles in the exhaust air stream are formed during the painting at an application area of a painting installation. The device comprises of at least one separation apparatus for separating the over-spray from the exhaust air stream. The separation apparatus includes a regeneratable surface filter and the flow path of the exhaust air stream from the application area to a separating device having at least one narrowed area. The central direction of flow of the exhaust air stream remains essentially preserved in passing by the narrowed area.

A method for operating a surface treatment installation wherein overspray that occurs in one or more coating booths is taken up by a booth air stream. Booth air laden with overspray is conducted to at least one separating unit in which overspray is separated out. The booth air laden with overspray or the booth air free of overspray is fed a solidifying material on its flow path to at least one separating unit and/or the booth air laden with overspray or the booth air free of overspray is fed a solidifying material in the interior of at least one separating unit and/or overspray that has already been deposited in at least one separating unit is fed a solidifying material and/or the at least one separating unit is fed a solidifying material before the separating unit is functionally fitted in the surface treatment installation, wherein the solidifying material has the effect that a curing process in the overspray is initiated or assisted. A device for separating out overspray from the booth air laden with overspray of surface treatment installations. Booth air laden with overspray can be passed through at least one separating unit, in which overspray is deposited. There is a solidifying material feeding device, by means of which the booth air laden with overspray can be fed a solidifying material on its flow path to at least one separating unit and/or the booth air laden with overspray can be fed a solidifying material in the interior of at least one separating unit and/or overspray that has already been deposited in at least one separating unit can be fed a solidifying material, wherein the solidifying material has the effect that a curing process in the overspray is initiated or assisted.
