Air filtration assemblies for gas turbine systems and methods for filtering intake air in gas turbine systems
Air filtration assemblies configured to provide instant detection of particles and/or improve particle filtration are disclosed. The assemblies may include an air inlet duct in fluid communication with a compressor of a gas turbine system. The air inlet duct may include an inlet for receiving intake air including intake air particles, and an outlet positioned opposite the inlet. The assembly may also include a plurality of vane filters at the inlet, an array of fabric filters positioned in the air inlet duct, downstream of the vane filters, and a silencer assembly positioned in the air inlet duct, downstream of the fabric filters. Additionally, the assembly may include an electrostatic component positioned in the air inlet duct, downstream of the fabric filters. The electrostatic component may be configured to charge the intake air particles that pass through the vane filters and the fabric filters.

The engine and inverter are contained within the chassis and the housing. An air cleaner is sized to fit within the housing and includes an air cleaner housing defining an inlet and an outlet, and a sealing surface positioned between the inlet and the outlet, and a cover pivotably coupled to the air cleaner housing and including a carrier sized to be received within the air cleaner housing. The cover includes an air filter receiving feature structured to support an air filter and position the air filter between the inlet and the outlet, and a carrier flange structured to seal a portion of the air filter between the sealing surface and the carrier flange when the cover is arranged in a closed position.
Breather/check valve oil and air separator system and method
An oil and air separator including a catch can with an inlet and an outlet thereto, the catch can adapted to remove oil from vapors entering the catch can via the inlet, and including an internal reservoir within which oil from the vapors entering the catch can may collect; and a check valve including a first end disposed within the internal reservoir, a second end, and a first fluid pathway therebetween in fluid communication with the internal reservoir, wherein vapors within the internal reservoir may exit the catch can through the first fluid pathway or a second fluid pathway including the outlet.
AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES
A filter cartridge configured to be removably positionable within an inner opening of a housing, wherein the filter cartridge includes a media pack having an inlet end, an outlet end, and an outer surface having an outer peripheral shape, at least one of: (a) a frame member at least partially surrounding the media pack, the frame member including a frame wall having a shape that is different from the outer perimeter shape of the media pack; and (b) a shell at least partially surrounding the media pack, the shell including a shell wall having a shape that is different from the outer perimeter shape of the media pack, and a sealing member extending at least partially around the inlet end of the media pack, wherein the sealing member comprises a pinch seal portion that is spaced from the outer surface of the media pack.
MOBILE GAS TURBINE INLET AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A system, as well as associated methods, for increasing the efficiency of a gas turbine including an inlet assembly and a compressor may include a housing configured to channel airstream towards the inlet assembly, an air treatment module positioned at a proximal end the housing, and at least one air conditioning module mounted downstream of the air treatment module for adjusting the temperature of the airstream entering the compressor. The air treatment module may include a plurality of inlet air filters and at least one blower configured to pressurize the air entering the air treatment module.
FILTER ELEMENTS, AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS OF USE AND ASSEMBLY
Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly includes a housing and cover within which primary and secondary filter cartridges, having a media pack and a seal arrangement surrounding the media pack, can be installed. The filter cartridges can include an open end cap with an axially deviating seal arrangement and a plurality of axially extending channels for engaging with ribs on the housing. The filter cartridges can also include extension members extending from the open end cap that include the axially extending channels, entirely or partially. The filter cartridges can also include a guide member extending from the extension members for providing a low friction surface against the housing during installation that allows axial force exerted by the installer to be translated into a rotational force that rotates the filter cartridge during installation.
Method of cleaning an air inlet screen of a work vehicle
A method of removing debris from a screen cover has a first mode of operation which includes: activating first and second fans to move first and second portions of air through screen cover and into a plenum, and moving the first and second portions of air from the plenum into a heat exchanger. A second mode of operation includes: deactivating the first fan for a first time period, activating the second fan for the first time period to move a third portion of air into the plenum, moving a first part of the third portion of air from the plenum into the heat exchanger during the first time period, and moving a second part of the third portion of air from the plenum through the screen cover during the first time period such that the second part of the third portion of air removes debris from the screen cover.
FILTER ELEMENT AND FILTER SYSTEM COMPRISING SAME
A filter element configured to be installed by sliding said filter element into a filter housing cavity along a first direction, said filter element comprising a handlebar pivotable around a pivoting axis perpendicular to said first direction; wherein said handlebar has a gripping portion on a first side of said axis and a latching portion on a second side of said axis, said second side being opposite said first side; and wherein said latching portion is configured to enter into engagement with at least one locking groove of said filter housing when said gripping portion (110) is moved into a first direction (A) and to disengage from said engagement when said gripping portion is moved into a second direction (B).
