SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING PRESENCE OF A TARGET BIOPARTICLE IN A SAMPLE VIA A VERTICAL FLOW ASSAY
One variation of a system includes a cartridge comprising: a substrate; a sample well integrated into the substrate, defining an upper opening and a lower opening, and configured to receive a test solution comprising a user sample and an amount of a fluorescent probe configured to bind with a target bioparticle to form a target complex; a filter membrane extending across the lower opening and defining a network of pores configured to convey fluid from the sample well and prevent passage of the target complex through the filter membrane. The system further includes a reader comprising: a housing; a cartridge receptacle configured to receive the cartridge; an excitation source configured to illuminate a detection region within the housing; and a detector defining a field of view intersecting the detection region and configured to detect a signal generated by fluid in the sample well and representing presence of the target bioparticle.
BULK FILL SYSTEM WITH SERIAL FLUID FILTRATION ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USING SAME FOR AUTOMATED AIR TRANSFER
Embodiments of a fluid filtration system constructed in accordance with principles of the present disclosure can be used to automatically condition the single use filter for efficient use thereof. For example, in embodiments, the fluid filtration system can include a filter conditioning program containing at least one of a filter priming module, a filter flushing module, and a filter pressurizing module.
FLUID FILTRATION SYSTEM WITH SINGLE USE FILTER AND INTEGRATED INTEGRITY TEST DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A fluid filtration system includes a single use filter removably mounted to a cabinet of a workstation. The upstream end of the single use filter is in fluid communication with a pump via a fluid supply conduit that includes a test junction. An integrity test device is supported by the cabinet and is in fluid communication with the upstream end of the single use filter via a test conduit fluidly connected to the single use filter via the test junction of the fluid supply conduit. The integrity test device adapted to be connected to a source of pressurized gas and to selectively direct a flow of pressurized gas through the test conduit and the single use filter to perform a test operation on the single use filter.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING HIGH CONCENTRATION WATER ON TWO SIDES OF REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANE
A control system has a water purification module and a control module. The water purification module has a preliminary filter and a reverse osmosis filter. The control module regularly controls the purification and the drainage of the water purification module, and solves the problem that the TDS value of the water on both sides of the reverse osmosis membrane is too high after the water purifier is on standby for a period of time. The control system regularly drains high concentration water on both sides of the reverse osmosis membrane to improve water purification efficiency.
RETROFIT CONTROL MODULE FOR REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
There is provided a retrofit control module that is connectable to various types of reverse osmosis systems, and a method of using the same. The retrofit control module includes a controller, the controller being located within a housing. The controller includes a first communication interface, the first communication interface being connectable to the reverse osmosis system, a processing unit and a memory connected to the processing unit. The processing unit is configured for receiving at least one parameter of the reverse osmosis system, comparing the at least one parameter of the reverse osmosis system with a predetermined threshold and in response to the at least one parameter of the reverse osmosis system being above the predetermined threshold: transmitting a control parameter to the reverse osmosis system, the control parameter causing the reverse osmosis system to control at least one component of the reverse osmosis system.
FILTRATION MODULE AND ASSEMBLY FOR FILTERING A PROCESS MEDIUM IN A BIOPROCESS AND METHOD OF SAMPLING DURING A BIOPROCESS
A filtration module for filtering a process medium in a bioprocess including a process flow path for a process medium, a filter membrane coupled to the process flow path, and a sampling membrane coupled both to the process flow path and to a sampling flow path for extracting a sample from the process medium. The sampling flow path guides the extracted sample to a sampling outlet of the filtration module or to an analyzer integrated into the filtration module. A filtration assembly including the filtration module and an analyzer coupled to the sampling outlet of the filtration module. A method of sampling during a bioprocess including providing such a filtration module, urging a process medium through the process flow path, filtering the process medium by using the filter membrane, extracting a sample from the process medium by using the sampling membrane, and guiding the extracted sample to a sampling outlet.
