FILTER DEVICE FOR A WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE, WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR CLEANING THE FILTER DEVICE
A filter device for a water-bearing domestic appliance has a flow-through filter housing with waste water inlet, filtered water outlet and filtrate outlet, at least one panel filter and a mounting therefor in the filter housing, wherein the panel filter has a mesh width and an angle to the horizontal, and a filtrate chamber in the filter housing for collecting filtrate. The panel filter, the waste water inlet and the filtered water outlet are arranged relative to one another such that a flow direction for water from the waste water inlet to the filtered water outlet passes through the panel filter. The filtrate chamber is accessible via the filtrate outlet for removing the filtrate from the filtrate chamber, in particular by backwashing. The at least one panel filter is variable in shape to change its mesh width, and/or an angle of the at least one panel filter to the horizontal can be altered by movement of the panel filter, in particular rotation.
Accumulated residue removal from carriers used in a water treatment system
A water treatment system including an enclosure for water to be treated, a multiplicity of biomass carriers located within the enclosure, at least one airlift in the enclosure for raising the water and the biomass carriers and at least one mechanical biomass carrier accumulated residue removal apparatus operative to remove accumulated residue from the biomass carriers.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR CLEANING POOL AND SPA FILTERS
An apparatus for cleaning pool or spa filters includes: a housing; a turntable assembly in the housing, the turntable assembly configured to receive a filter thereon; and a fluid assembly on the housing configured to receive liquid from a liquid source. The fluid assembly includes: a spin jet configured to spray the liquid on the turntable such that the turntable and the filter thereon spin; and at least one power jet configured to spray the liquid on and/or through the filter while the turntable assembly and the filter spin.
SELF-CLEANING FILTER
Embodiments relate generally to a self-cleaning filter. A filter may include a tube comprising perforations. The tube may be configured to receive a flow of a liquid from a first direction or a flow of a gas from a second direction opposite to the first direction. The filter may also include a filter media positioned concentrically around the tube, and spacers positioned between the tube and the filter media to create a space between the tube and the filter media. A portion of the filter media is configured to flex inward into the space during the flow of liquid into the filter, and flex outward from the space during the flow of gas exiting the filter.

Slit spiral tube for self-cleaning pressure filters and a slot self-cleaning pressure filter with such a slit tube
The slit spiral tube for self-cleaning pressure filters in which the spiral element is mounted on supports, by maintaining the spiral circumferential slit wherein, in the spiral circumferential slit (s) there is a fixed working spiral moving back and forth. The slot self-cleaning pressure filter for dewatering liquid media consisting of a cylindrical casing in which there is a medium inflow, an effluent outflow and a sludge overflow and slit spiral tubes placed centrally, axially one in another, out of which each tube has a spiral element fixed on supports by maintaining the spiral circumferential slit, wherein, in the spiral circumferential slit (s) of both the external slit spiral tube and the internal slit spiral tube a working spiral moving back and forth is mounted, whereas, between the slit spiral tubes and a motor-driven spiral rotatable scraper is mounted.
Regenerative Media Filtration Apparatus Improvements
A regenerative media filter vessel is provided. The regenerative media filter vessel includes a first inlet, a first outlet, and a tube sheet comprising a plurality of tube elements. A portion of the tube element is disposed within a frame positioned about a periphery of tube element and configured to prevent contact between adjacent tube elements. Also disclosed is a method of facilitating water filtration using a regenerative media filter vessel. The method includes providing a regenerative media filter vessel of this disclosure. The method further includes providing the particulate media.
Regenerative media filtration
A method of cleaning a regenerative filter having a filter housing having inlet and outlet zones, a fluid path provided between the inlet and outlet zones, and a plurality of filter elements each having an outer surface filter media applied thereto and functioning to filter particulate or contaminants from the fluid path, the method comprising draining all fluids from the filter housing, refilling the filter housing with fluid to an optimum level, and initiating a cleaning sequence of the filter housing with the fluid at the optimum level. The cleaning sequence can comprise agitating the tube sheet, initiating a pump to effectively air scour for a first predetermined amount of time, dwelling for a second predetermined amount of time, and repeating the agitating, initiating, and dwelling until a third predetermined amount of time is complete.
